I loved working with Annie Shaw and her team at Xeric Oasis. She was very responsive to what I wanted, and helped improve some issues that a less talented gardener had implemented before her. Furthermore, she is very warm and is very knowledgeable about our Northern California ecosystems. My garden looks terrific and I only regret that I hadn't met Annie when I first started the project!

Feel so lucky to have met Annie and the team at Xeric Oasis! We talked to a handful of landscape designers over the years trying to figure out what to do with our backyard space in San Francisco. None of those conversations felt right until we met Annie. Within the first few minutes, it was obvious they were the ones for the job, and now that it’s done, I can say that they exceeded our expectations throughout.

They attentively listened to what was important, came with some great innovative ideas in the design phase. When it came time to do the work, her team got in there and knocked it out the park efficiently.

From grading, to building planter boxes, to sourcing/planting gigantic screening plants and hard to find ferns, to design and materials selection on a deck and a patio, to integrating, our cedar hot tub and equipment, to lighting and irrigation… they did it all on schedule and at very fair rates.

Can’t recommend them enough for all your landscaping needs!

We were looking for drought resistant landscaping for our front and backyard.

Xeric Oasis helped us mock up, design and install landscaping for us that fits our tastes. Annie, Matt, and Josh are extremely knowledgeable and very detailed in explaining the types of plants and trees that would fit in our environment.

The process went as followed:

1) they will come and evaluate your property such as type of soil and how much sunlight certain areas get. Also great time to ask questions here. They will ask what kind of plants you'd like to get a sense of design

2) proposal is given

3) after accepting proposal they will send you a Pinterest board where you can select what plants you like which they will add into their designs

4) you will have a virtual meeting that can answer any questions and fine tune your taste

5) lock in a date and they will come install the plants

Even after plants were installed, they sent us a plant care list which was very helpful in maintaining our landscaping. They even have a 30 day checkup to see how the plants are doing. Additionally, they are very responsive in answering any concerns we have.

It's rare to see a team of people filled with passion and enthusiasm. I can tell they take pride in their craft and I'd highly recommend!

Annie and her team did a wonderful job designing and installing our front yard in SF. It is unique and uses plants that once established will not require additional watering. Aesthetically, the plant quality and placement is top notch! We couldn't be happier with the process, result or price!!

What words fit my experience with Xeric Oasis and my new baby garden? Magical, magnificent, majestic, inspiring, filled with a beautiful variety of new plants, different sizes, shapes, colors and fragrances. A beautiful creation by Annie Shaw that was just planted and is already coming to life! From first consult, to planning the design, to sending me a virtual photo of how it may look in two years all was professional and caring and very exciting! Am so happy to check on my new garden every day and learn about each and every plant.
I highly recommend Xeric Oasis!
