They have a great variety of fruit trees, and their prices are really competitive compared to other local nurseries. I enjoy strolling around to check out all the new stuff they have.

What an amazing nursery! They've got everything you need for your garden and indoor plant collection from airplants, huge staghorn ferns, citrus trees, roses...everything you could imagine! It's a plant lover's paradise! Workers are super helpful. They're working all over the place and there to answer any questions or help you find what you need. Grab a shopping cart or flatbed at the entrance before you head in because you'll need it to carry all the plant babies you'll find to purchase. Plenty of parking. I assume you can bring your pup in because they have a pet poop bag dispenser at the entrance. Seriously love this place!

Walter Andersen Nursery in Point Loma is one of my favorite nurseries to shop for all my garden needs from fertilizers, compost, potting soil, mulch, veggie packs, roses, variety of fruit trees, succulents, pots, orchids, etc. They have very knowledgeable and supportive staff on the floor to provide information and tips to their customers to ensure success in gardening. The nursery has done a lot to improve the facility for the past few years indoor and outdoor. It is well stocked and very clean. A popular nursery for the locals. Parking is limited and it is hard to get in and out of the lot especially during peak hours. They do offer free garden classes so check schedules and locations.

So Walter Anderson Nursery is a great all around Nursery from product variety to amount they have stocked to rare and unique plants that you've never seen or even heard about before. Now this location can be a little bit difficult to enter into first time so just pay attention to the directions so you don't drive past it and for that reason I generally do prefer their Poway location over this one just because of it's ease be able to get in and out of no problem. Now I will say that this location does tend to carry the rare plants out of the two locations if you check out my pictures I just uploaded along with this review. There are two of them really cool however pricing is pretty high even with it being a rare plant I mean that's awfully pretty penny to pay for such a small cactus. But inflation is a you know what so other than that the staff is always helpful and not much more to add to it than that so if this is in your area definitely come out and if it's not and your down in San Diego its worth checking out as well.

This place is amazing. Such a great selection of everything you need for your yard. They have everything from fruits and veggies to succulents, tropicals, water, house, bedding, exotic, orchids and even bonsai and stag-horn ferns. I’m sure I am missing some. Also pots, soil mulch, bird and hummingbird feeders, owl boxes and yard decorations. The variety isn’t what makes them so good, it is their people. Everyone is so nice and very helpful, they make you want to drive the extra mile. Pass by that Lowe’s with the same old plants and head to a local nursery that cares and has a great selection.

I’ve been to this nursery twice in one month. Although it’s a little out of my way, I will definitely be returning for most of my gardening supplies. Prices are decent too! The staff are very nice and they have a very clean restroom. ?

Walter Andersons is a great local resource for your green thumb. Indoor/ outdoor plants, plants for shady areas or full sun, plants requiring lots of water, and many that need little at all, and some of my favorites all, are the ones that bare fruit spring, summer, winter and fall. Then, they also have the tools and products that keep them all healthy.
And when your all done and ready to go, they give you credits to come back and do it all over again.
I like this place. #plants rule

My favorite nursery in San Diego, hands down! Incredible selection for my veggie garden, my wild birds, and fun items I never come looking for, but always happen to find! Backyard gardeners paradise, no matter what your fave type of plants are! ? And the experts are really helpful there, too!
