We live in a townhouse and we pay the HOA to care for the landscaping in our neighborhood. We understood when the grass died earlier this summer because the splash pad project messed up the water system. Most of the grass recovered, sort of, if you consider spotty coverage recovered.
However, we have been left with dead areas--just dirt--and large weeds next to our townhouse, a huge dead area around the tree behind our townhouse, and multiple other dead areas. The Kentucky blue grass in front of our townhouse has been completely taken over by weed grass.
As far the area around our townhouse is concerned, the lawncare has been completely unacceptable.

Avoid Tuck at all costs. They outsource jobs to unreliable and flaky contractors. They’ll charge you up front, not meet deadlines or flat out just ghost you, and then it’s a finger pointing contest between them and their outsourced folks when you request a refund where they make you, the customer, out to be the one to blame. It’s been over 100+ days to just get drawings for a basic backyard landscaping job, still no drawings, and they’re refusing a refund. All I’ve gotten to this point for my $3,000 is a lecture from their main office lady who blamed the outsourced contractor, Troy, and then blamed me for being frustrated. This place should be exposed by Get Gephardt.

Do not hire.

Overpriced, slow, bids low, sends you big change orders.

Their lack of attention to detail led to many mistakes that severely delayed our project. The subcontractors they hired were slow.

When we added scope to our project, instead of treating it as a change order, they revised the existing work on their bid and added 20-50% more to pricing.

We paid them in full for many areas of the project which they left incomplete for months.

One project manager lost his temper after we requested drawings for an area of the project, so he decided to partially demo our hardscaping. Then, he required that we pay a new invoice before he'd resume work on our job. Completely unprofessional.

My mind is blown that we spent for premium priced landscaping and they struggled to work at an acceptable pace and were this unprofessional.

I worked for tuck Landscape many years ago. Kevin Tuck was my boss and mentor. We work hard and had lots a fun. I always felt proud knowing when we were done with a project it looked impeccable. That is all Kevin expected and nothing less. That was 27 years ago. I have owned my own company since. I still apply many of the technics and methods Kevin taught me. I occasionally will come upon a Tuck project that looks beautiful. Kevin Tuck has Definity left a great legacy in the Salt Lake Valley.

It turns out I am not the only one observing this because another review was left about this SAME situation! The driver was on the phone the entire time on the freeway causing a back up and being overall just reckless. Based off his driving, this is not a professional company! I included a photo for proof. (I was riding passenger, so I was not driving myself and taking the photo)

I have worked with Tuck Landscaping for years. Between their landscaping and snow removal, I have loved working with them and the services they provide. If I ever have a concern they are very responsive, timely and super helpful.

While I’m sure these guys do
a beautiful job of landscaping, they certainly don’t care how their actions impact others. I live in the apartments just south of their building. (The photo was taken from my balcony.) I have been woken up innumerable times lately anywhere between 5:15-and 6:45am (weekends, too) by tractors, dump-trucks, and, tractors picking up boulders and dropping them into dump-trucks. This kind of “construction” activity is actually illegal before 7am.

I worked with Tuck for a couple of months. We got a bid from them to mow the lawns in our HOA. Their bid was high but we decided to have them do the work anyway, we felt they would do a good job.

They came out in the winter to do some tree trimming and remove some pipes for us. We paid them half up front and they came out and did the tree trimming but didn't want to trim the deciduous trees in the winter. Fair enough. They were going to finish the trimming when it warmed up. We hadn't signed a contract so a couple of weeks ago I asked them to come out and discuss the mowing and finish the tree trimming and pipe removal. They came out and met with me.

Well, now we have 1/2 of our trees trimmed, they came and cut up one of the pipes so the lid won't fit anymore but didn't finish that job (they could have done that even when it was cold).

They sent us a new bid and almost doubled their price for summer maintenance since we hadn't signed a contract yet. We definitely will not have them do the work and don't even want them to complete the work they only half completed.

I am very disappointed with them and I would not recommend them.
