Shawn saved my caterpillars from starving by giving me some Giant milkweed leaves! He cares about all pollinators and his backyard garden shows just that. Such a nice man who is doing good for our planet.

LOVE this place! I absolutely cannot wait to go back! I was originally looking for native milkweeds nearby and found this place. Privately owned so I was nervous at first. But man, am I sure glad I went! Shawn and BJ are an absolute delight! I felt so comfortable the whole experience. Shawn gave my mother and I a tour of his plants and educated us about them. I loved especially how he knew off the top of his head, what exact butterflies each plant hosted. His knowledge was outstanding!!!!! Gave us so many tips as well. I learned so much.

Fair prices on everything, threw in some freebies for us as well. I wish I took more images, I got far more plants than what is shown. I’m extremely happy with my selections.
Oh, and even gave us some native Everglades tomatoes which are soooooo good!

I adore how passionate Shawn is about native plants and how he wants to educate others about them, to save these plants and the pollinators they support.

I will absolutely come back. Especially when I need more milkweed plants.

The Milkweed Man is a master gardener when you arrive at his house he will give you a grand tour of his gardens along with a full education on various native plants and their host (butterflies). His knowledge is endless! It was a joy learning from him. He’s got a variety of Milkweed and other plants all reasonably priced. It feels good to support local people and plants! You can tell he loves what’s he does.

I had an amazing experience today with Shawn and his butterfly garden expertise. Shawn the Milkweed Man has a large inventory of both host and nectar Florida Native plants. We took home a Native Firebush, an Incarnata Milkweed and a Florida Hibiscus. I highly recommend this facility to every thoughtful Florida gardener.

PS we saw sooo many butterflies constantly visiting his garden today.

Since I have so many caterpillars to feed, I decided to get more milkweed plants. Preferably, Florida native plants. I meet up with Sean, the owner, and what a delight! Full of plant info and loves to engage. Beautiful plant stock, everywhere you look, in his back yard! He also does landscaping! Please consider him, it was so worth the drive to Spring Hill.

Shawn was so helpful. I needed milkweed for a couple of caterpillars I had. When I told him I was from Arkansas he looked up information to find what kind of milkweed would grow best in my area. He has a beautiful garden and is very knowledgeable about all the different plants he had. Saved the day with my cats!!! Loved visiting Shaun and his piece of tranquility. As a budding gardenist I needed help in the polinating category. He went over all sorts of types, growing, which pollinators the attract, and many types of milkweed. This was my primary concern being the first of March and with the Monarchs arriving like crazy, was able to get me what I needed for supplementation. I'm am very excited to start this friendship on my nature journey I started.
