To be fair the first delivery of Sod was beautiful. I had to order another pallet plus a 100.00 delivery charge. The delivery was five hours past due and a pile of dirt. I’ve called four times for a refund of 225.00 and was told the owner would call me back to no avail. I’m disputing this with my credit card company and working with the BBB. I highly recommend you stay away from this company at all costs. The pictures speak for themselves!

Purchased 2 pallets of Floratam St.agustine. Grass was dropped off while I was at work. Had I been home, I would have refused the delivery. I immediately called to question and they said just water and it would come back. Every piece of sod had some form of distress or was cut to thin and would fall apart. Never again.

Ordered a pallet of Sod back in April. Good price, nice job. Eventually lost that part of the yard and had to re-sod in October.
Price went up, quality of Sod was poor as was installation. Already replaced two pieces due to Crabgrass in the Sod. No follow up or customer concern shown.

Horrible experience. I ordered 18 pallets of bahia that were completely brown (most but not all of it did green up with 2 weeks of watering to be fair). It fell apart in tiny handfulls. Laying 18 pallets of sod one tiny handful at a time was ridiculous and leaves a very uneven bumpy yard. I called multiple times. I finally got the owner on the phone and he was very rude. He told me he would not do anything to make it right because that's just how bahia sod is and he assumed I knew what I was talking about when I ordered it. I ended up ordering a few more pallets from a different company to make up for all the loss I had and those were cut in big beautiful green cut rectangles. This confirmed for me that Sod express delivered me 18 pallets of garbage and not only refused to stand behind their product but insulted me in the process. Bad business. Also the driver pulled into my neighbors yard and damaged his lawn even though my husband repeatedly told him not do. Don't waste your money.

Do not give Sod Express your business!!! They lie and will waste your time. I ordered a pallet a week in advance and paid for it. The day of pick up I called at 8AM to confirm my sod was in stock. Dee (the lady who took my order) asked to put me on hold to double check. When she returned to my call she told me yes we have it here ready for you. I informed her my father would be over at 10AM to pick it up. My father arrived at 9:45, and guess what?!?! They did not have my sod. I then called to see what the story was. I got Dee on the phone. She told me that she did not take my order, and she did not know who took my order. After some back and forth she hung up on me. Needless to say I had to drive there to get my card refunded. Not only was she rude to me again. She made no effort to retain my business. My father and I both took the day off work to lay sod. Dee told me it was not her fault, and that my problem was not hers. She did not even apologize for the lie she told me. The, “yes we have your sod here waiting” lie. Please do not give this place your business. They will scam you and waste your time.. I could not be more disappointed at the service I received at sod express.

I used this company for tree trimming and sod in May 2021. The tree trimmers ran over my sprinkler system and crushed a section. They were supposed to come out and fix it but never did. The sod I ordered came in June/July. They were short because the "estimator" measured incorrectly. They said I needed another 600 sq. feet! How do you miss measure by 600 sq. ft Maybe 100 but not 600. So, we negotiated down to 400 sq. ft that I would be REQUIRED to pay for. Luckily I did not pay for the additional sod upfront. Needless to say they never showed back up to install the additional sod. My sprinkler system is still in disrepair and the yard still has no additional sod. In addition, the sod that they did lay was full of moths and weeds. It looks terrible. In addition, the customer service is smoke and mirrors. Horrible! I will NEVER use this company again.

Buyer Beware! The low ratings for this business are correct. I was sold a truckload of sifted dirt (This was specified to me over the phone). However, I was delivered garbage dirt. There were rags, plastics, gravel, large rocks, even pieces of headphones, etc. I sent pics and the owner did not look at them and also did not call me back after several calls. I took the time to visit the establishment and speak face to face. The conclusion from the owner was that it was my fault and I should have told them it was garbage dirt before it was spread in my backyard by the contractor. I suppose I forgot to use my x-ray glasses to pre-determine its condition and see all the garbage in that dirt before it was spread. It cost me 100's of dollars to remedy only part of the issue that it caused.
