I Never review so this is serious!
Wish I had read the reviews first. I’m not “Singing” praises for this Garden!
Unfortunately I ordered 8 Callunas (heathers) ‘Lime Glade’ all to be one gallon size plants. They arrived however they were not a 1 gallon-sized plants. Photos speak volumes - see the tiny plants -one was not even rooted and fell out of the pot. When I wrote to inquire and asked for an explanation - Mary Jane A. responded: “The plants you received are happy and healthy and were the biggest and best ones we have in stock. Unfortunately ‘Lime Glade’ is an uncommon plant and we have a really hard time keeping them in stock long enough for them to fill out their planter… We suggest planting them in the ground and giving them a chance to grow. Otherwise, you can return them, but you were responsible for paying the return shipping and will be charged a 20% restocking fee.”
Fortunately, I found another grower with “True” 1 gallon plants and who knows what I’ll do with the one from singing tree.

I placed an order about eight weeks ago for 7 heather plants to be delivered in September. I had no idea when they were coming but when I got the shipping email I kind of panicked because I work and wasn't sure when I could plant them. I tried to contact them via email and phone for any advice, couldn't reach any one, never got a reply to my email. They were not in pots but just wrapped in paper and plastic. I had no idea what to do so I called all my gardener friends and got advice on the best way and place to store them until the weekend. But, fortunately, I managed to get them in the ground within 1.5 days. The instruction sheet got wet and now I can't reach the nursery to get another one. It's perplexing this information isn't available on their website. If it is, I sure couldn't find it or I would've known I needed a boatload of bark o mulch for the planting which I had to also scramble to get. I guess I just cross my fingers. The plants look beautiful but I'm wholeheartedly unimpressed with Singing Tree's customer service (or lack thereof) in terms of being able to reach them. It would be helpful to get a more advanced notice on the shipping date-and that notice should come WITH a copy of the planting and care instructions- so it wasn't a race to get it all done. PS. I'm not a gardener by trade so dummies like me really need some help!

Visiting the Singing Tree Garden was so very pleasant. Nice to see the variety of plants to choose from, beautiful gardens, very well kept. 2 cute cats roamed the place. I really enjoyed the time there, nice lawn chairs. I wish there was a tea garden shop there, it would be the perfect setting to combine enjoying looking at plants and taking some quality time to decide what you want. Very happy with the two plants we selected, very good customer service. Had a handout to help us for our next steps with the Rhododendrons

Singing Trees Nursery is a must visit in the spring. Their gardens are very beautiful and inspirational. I have ordered plants online from this nursery and I do agree they are not always in the best shape when received. It almost seems like the owner saves the best ones for the nursery. Not only are they in better condition but they are better priced. I highly recommend going in person to make your plant purchase. Really don’t be surprised if the plants sent in the mail need extra love. If you do go to the nursery and see a friendly woman named Katie make sure you ask for her help. She found me some amazing Rhododendrons and gave me top of the line service. Sadly the owner really didn’t offer any help. It was disappointing since I have now made large purchases here and could have used a bit more help from the expert .

This was my second annual visit all the way from Sacramento. It was an easy drive from Eureka where we stayed the weekend. Look for the goat farm on the way in from the Cranell Rd exit from Hwy 101.
They recently updated their web site so that you conveniently search for plants by hardiness zones, sunlight light needs, mature height, etc. This was very helpful in creating a listing of dwarf conifers I wanted to see in the garden nursery.
Their plants are not cheap; they attract serious home gardeners who are in search of more unusual plant specimens. The staff are very knowledgeable and helpful. They are usually outside, so you get to summon them by striking a hanging gong! This time of year the grass and ground are wet from early-morning dew, so wear waterproof shoes or work boots. Enjoy your visit!

I ordered 12 plants (each one is around $15 ) and waited for two weeks ,but nothing came to my house. So I called and emailed them. In the sameday I called, they left me a message that they started to delivery it.
And finally I got my order 16 days after the purchase. And that's not the worst thing. I bought the plants of 1 gallon size, but what the real size is less than 2.5Qt.In the picture, the one of half of my palm is theirs ($15) comparing to the 2.5Qt one from Lowes(8.98$,with flowers on) .
I felt so dissapointed that I emailed them to complain and ask for solution. You know what, Sara responsed me quickly this time. She blamed the Covid-19 and me of not cancelling the order before it is delivered. How rediculous it is! After I ordered, how could I know they would spend such a long time to deliver and how poor the quality the products are!
I know it's hard time for everyone in the pandemic. But I didn't only order from Singing Tree, I also ordered from other business but frankly speaking, nothing worse than their products and service.

In the past 2 years I have ordered about 80 rhododendrons from Singing Tree Gardens. Their rhododendrons are expensive, but they have a nice selection. However their plants are very small for the price, with underdeveloped root systems. About a third of the plants I ordered died after planting. During the same time I have purchased a couple hundred rhododendrons from other nurseries and have never lost one. I contacted Singing Tree, and they told me as soon as the order arrived at my house they have no responsibility over the plants or what happened to them in shipping, and it is the customer's problem.

I have been a member of The Rhododendron Species Society and the American Rhododendron Society. I have grown and cared for rhododendrons for sixty years. I have never had problems from any vendor before. I highly recommend to never buy rhododendrons from them. However, I have purchased heathers and grasses from Singing Tree that have been fine.

I'm having trouble reaching somebody there about a plant that arrived looking almost dead. I was trying to find a way to email the information and include a picture that I took on the day it arrived but there doesn't seem to be a way to do that. Of the 3 Heather plants in the front of the picture one of them looks like it's clearly in trouble and it has gotten worse. ?
