Stopped here for some lunch before heading back. We were able to get some burgers which were decent. A few tables are inside if you want to eat but not really set up well for a family (2 toddlers). Definitely geared more towards the gift shop and gas station aspect.

After a long day of hard work, we stopped in to get a sandwich.

I immediately noticed upon entering that the kid named "Mike" at the front was not paying attention at all to anyone entering and was staring at his phone.

The other woman worker acknowledged my presence and said hello.

I stood at the sandwich counter for about 30 seconds while Mike just kept staring at his phone 5 ft from me at the front register.

He then slowly comes over, the whole time staring at his phone and never once making eye contact.

He gets to the counter and says, "Do you want something?" while he was staring at his phone and never once looked up.

I asked for a sandwich, and he said they were out of bread.

4 more people came in right after, and 3 were wanting food.

The other woman noticed that he wasn't taking their orders quick enough, so she told him to step back, and she helped everyone.

He threw some chicken tenders in the fryer and walked away and sat staring at his phone again. He was supposed to be making a BBQ sandwich, cooking bacon, for the orders.

At this point, I said something. He just kind of smirked and kept staring at his phone.

I said something to the woman and she agreed with me.

She said her boss was outside.

I approached her and told her about my experience.

She said he was off the clock at 5pm, 45 minutes prior, and that he was waiting on her to come inside.

Very nice store that has a little bit of everything! Didn't know they have beer taps there and got a growler of one of my favorite local brews! The owner is very nice and helped us find what we needed for the day! Would definitely recommend Scallop Cove to any one staying at the Cape or just spending the day there!

Lovely helpful employees and management, good selection of tourist related items plus MANY other items, beverages, ice, etc. it was the only place I could find a trucker cap with Cape San Blas on it…😜Worth a stop!

Great shop to grab cheap lunch or grocery’s without going off the island. Employees are always so friendly. Beers always cold they even have drafts

What a great staff. No one lools lile they are running out the clock. Very friendly and helpful. Great bait shop as well. This place truly helped to make my vacation a special one. Every time I stopped by people were smiling and talking. It felt very inviting. I purchased a pole and some bait and had a wonderful day with my son fishing at the beach

Rented a pontoon from Scallop Cove (second year in a row) and the staff is always helpful and nice. Pontoons are in good shape for rentals and no issues. Super convenient being right at the marina.

This is a little general store with a cozy feeling. The staff was all really nice and friendly. We were staying close by, so we walked there a few times during our stay and got ice cream, which was probably the one this our kids looked forward to the most. Highly recommend stopping by.
