My friends and I needed to get away for a weekend and we wanted to do something non traditional. With the current situation this was the perfect get away.
We live in a densely populated area. Getting out to the botanical garden was wonderful having all that open room and fresh air. I wasn’t sure what to expect. We loved all the different ponds for fishing. The botanical garden was a real treat as well. I have to say what I enjoyed the most was all the room to move around freely and enjoy the outdoors. I’m definitely going back. Next time I go I am bringing the whole family. There’s enough rooms in the house for everyone to sleep comfortably.

What a wonderful getaway and a perfect place to relax and unwind in nature. The house is large and completely renovated, with a screened in front patio area that gives you the option an indoor outdoor experience. Shon, the owner, is extremely helpful with booking and planning your trip, and gives great insight on things to do in the area and where to explore. There are multiple ponds and trails on the property, and the extensive exotic gardens and trees make this place unparalleled to anything else in the area. Whether you’re looking for a relaxing getaway with the cute little town of Punta Gorda just a few miles away, or a family adventure exploring wildlife, Punta Gorda Botanical Retreat is a must!

My stay at the retreat was so relaxing and much needed. From wandering the endless grounds, with fruit trees, ponds and wildlife. To laying in a hammock by the campfire looking at the stars. If you are looking to just break away from the modern worlds problems and clear your head this is the place you want to go! Well manicured landscaping and a very clean and sanitary house to stay in. Exceptional service and friendly communication with the owner directly. Five starts !
