Powell Nursery picked up a 16 ft. Pony Tail Palm from the neighbors down the street and then moved it to my home. I dug the tree up at the neighbors and made the hole at my home, kinda a control freak - lol !! The 2 guys who showed up with the machine were amazing!! So kind, knowledgeable and helpful !! I can’t thank Powell Nursery enough for making my dream come true of a BIG Pony Tail Palm in my front yard !!

There are not good things to say about this place! They have an overwhelming variety of some of the most beautiful plants, have an incredibly warm and knowledgeable family owned staff, and they really take the time to explain in great detail about each plant you are interested in and if they will work in your environment (potentially saving thousands on plants that would die in your yard otherwise!). My recent visit turned into an all afternoon affair and I was dazzled by some of the truly unique and jaw dropping varieties that they have. I'm so grateful to have found such a jem and I will certainly be doing all of my future business with Powell.

If I could give them 10 stars, I would. I was in the area visiting a friend. Me and my teen daughter decided to go to this nursery, maybe spend half hr to buy a few unique plants to take home to family as gifts. I’ll warn you, the owners are a blunt group but if you can handle them, they are the most generous, nicest, down-to-Earth people. We stayed much longer than anticipated. We got a ride on the golf cart to see the place. Joseph is so knowledgeable! His mom and dad were awesome too. It is a haphazard, semi-organized place but that was the whole fun of it. Everywhere you look, a new find in every corner. I wanted to buy everything. We come to the area every year from Michigan and every year from now on, we will have this place on our list of to-dos. They turned a simple nursery trip into the memory of a lifetime for me and my daughter. I can’t wait for next year!

We stopped in today for the first time and I’m so glad we did! The selection is amazing and everyone there was so kind and helpful. We left with a load of beautiful new plants in our truck and smiles on our faces. We will be back again for sure. I highly recommend this nursery!
