After seeing Peak Landscaping & Snow Removal arrive weekly to maintain the lawns of some of the higher end homes in our neighborhood, my husband and I made the decision to reach out for help with our own lawn and landscaping projects. The owner, Jordan, met my husband in the middle of the street to chat, and within 20 minutes all of his equipment was loaded onto our lawn.

Jordan de-thatched our entire lawn, which basically means he removed all of the dried up lawn clippings allowing for the grass seed that we'd eventually lay down to penetrate the soil and grow easier. De-thatching leaves an incredible amount of debris on the ground and Jordan made a second pass around the entire property to remove it. Within an hour, our lawn looked better than we'd ever seen it.

We were so impressed by Jordan, his enthusiasm, ability to adjust his work schedule on the fly, and his overall "can do" attitude that we knew we'd be working with him again soon.

About a week later, we hired Jordan back to entirely remove the 1980's landscaping that came with the house in order to start with clean slate and design a landscaping plan that matches our aesthetic. Hello, white hydrangeas everywhere!!

Jordan checked in with us before each and every plant/bush was removed, made suggestions along the way, as well as helped us come up with a cohesive plan moving forward with options to hire a landscape designer OR do the work ourselves. There was never any pressure or up-selling involved. Jordan was simply offering advice to us as if we were lifelong friends, and I cannot stress how important that felt after the long list of contractors we contacted who never returned a simple phone call.

At the end of the day, I fully expected our yard to be destroyed by the tractor and full of deep holes that would take hours to fill by hand. However, when I got back to the house hours later, to my surprise, Jordan was just finishing up and every single hole was filled in with fresh dirt and ready for planting.

I really don't know how to express how happy we are with the entire experience. In between removing small trees and bushes, Jordan continually checked in with us, cracked jokes, and even told us about an incredibly new podcast he's started that focuses on small business owners in CT. How much more can one person give?

I started having Peak Landscaping mow my lawn. During one of the services they performed (6 weeks ago), their crew did something that caused my storm door glass to shatter. Here are my issues:
1. The crew did not clean up the broken glass. They actually made my clean up worse by using their leaf blower which scattered the glass all over my mulch bed, walkway and lawn.
2. Crew left without even leaving a note. If they are truly professionals about their service, they would have at the very minimum left a note apologizing for the broken door
3. That evening, got a call from the owner Jordan after receiving my email. He told me he is going to get our door fixed. Its been six weeks and the door is still broken. I’ve sent multiple emails, text messages and voicemails. Crickets.
So when they say they are a company that value integrity, I cannot honestly say that is accurate. They don’t keep their word. Just a word of caution for everyone, they’re ok as long as something doesn't go wrong. If something does, expect minimal effort from them to make it right.
