We have been renovating my yard for almost a year now, and this nursery has high quality plants. Tim and Anna are very knowledgeable and very nice people too, and their staff is great. Can't wait to start me front yard!

I found NBF shortly after they opened for business in 2020 when I was just learning about landscaping with native plants. Tim and Anna are knowledgeable and willing to answer any questions for newbies through experienced native gardeners. The plant selection is plentiful and they are always looking to source new plants or grow them themselves. If you’re looking for plants to beautify your yard while feeding the butterflies, birds, bees, and other wildlife this is the place to shop. They have informational signs with the plants that let you know the native range, moisture requirements, light requirements, if it is a host plant, and probably some other stuff but I can’t remember right now. They also do landscape design, installs, and yard maintenance (pulling weeds and such).

We were so pleased to have Anna and Tim design and plant our native plant garden. Tim and his crew did a great job in planting. We are enjoying the beautiful plants they recommended for our coastal property and seeing new growth daily. The butterflies and bees have already found our yard. I would highly recommend them. They are very knowledgeable about native Florida plants, easy to work with and are true nature lovers.

One of best native plant nursery’s in Florida! Often offering up plants not found anywhere else. Grown from seed specimens, excellent prices, the knowledge of Tim & Anna unrivaled. This is the place to go. So worth the 1.5hr drive for me. They often have more mature plants as well. I have a sea grape that’s beyond beautiful from them. So much more, yes smaller space, but packed with a wonderful selection. You’ll be very happy here if you want true Florida natives, shop local, have fun! Thank you! I’m headed back this very week!

Of course I can only speak to the day I visited. I went there looking for some guidance on what to plant to replace my grass and had some ideas of what i wanted. Something low growing that I would not have to mow. I ended up with sunrise mimosa. After purchasing ten plants I decided to read a little more about them and found it is NOT a good choice if you have a septic tank, drain field or well. This plant roots deep and each node that it puts out also drops deep and therefore creating a rats nest, something that will choke your drain field and cost several thousands of dollars to redo. I never planted them and tried to exchange and they would NOT. Do your homework first because the 12 year olds that are working there are NOT well informed.

Met them at Melbourne Downtown plant festival. Super nice, knowledgeable, which is extremely important to me, as a nursery woman. They have the nicest plants I've ever seen at a native nursery before.
Usually native plants are scraggly looking, as if no care at all has been given to them. Natives deserve to be pinched, shaped, and even some natural fertilizer should be used, they're in pots.
Their plants look well taken care of, not just over-priced natives. They have great prices, as well. I can't say enough good things. I also can't wait to go to their nursery.
