From start to finish Modern Yardz was awesome. We had about 12 or so quotes from different companies and decided to go with Modern Yardz. Jake was very helpful and professional. He helped us visualize the plan and made sure we were within the rules of our HOA. He came up with great ideas and provided us a 3D rendering the next day. That's what really sold us. They started the job about 2 weeks later and we were introduced to the whole team. Russell the project manager was great in making sure our project was getting executed as planned. He was very communicative and make sure we were in the loop every step of the way. Both Jake and Russell quoted us a 4 week completion. But they finished in a little over 2 weeks. They underpromised and over delivered. Couldn't be more happy on the work! Go with them, you won't regret it!

Honestly can't say enough good things about this company as we are SO THRILLED with the finished product. We hired them to demo and install all new pavers, grass turf and put in new drainage and the difference to our home's entrance way and side yard is truly night and day! I never thought I would be so excited about turf and cement until I saw what they could do.

We received estimates from four different companies and felt Modern Yardz had the best solution and the most reasonable price point to fit our needs. Their communication before, during and after the job was top notch (huge shout out goes to our project manager, Russel, who answered all of our questions within minutes and kept us updated through the entire project). The owner of the company, Thomas, also checked-in multiple times to ensure the project was going as planned. The crew's workmanship and attention to detail was phenomenal. Overall just a really refreshing customer experience! We've worked with several other contractors throughout the past year after moving into our home and Modern Yardz has by far been our favorite company that we've worked with. Last month, I had the great pleasure of working with Russ and Jake from Modern Yardz. Out of the five different yard renovation companies I researched, Modern Yardz definitely was the best company. During the yard design phase, Jake worked diligently to ensure I got exactly what I wanted. He was super responsive to my texts, emails and phone calls. Then when it was time to get the job done, Russ ensured the project was completed with great detail and perfection. The workers did a great job at cleaning up every day and were extremely professional. Everything they did during this project was exactly what I was hoping for. We worked with Frank to design our front and backyard. He was extremely patient as we went through many design changes before signing the contract. He was thorough with his design and kept us informed throughout the project. He kept us within budget without sacrificing quality. I highly recommend Frank for your outdoor design needs. Russel was our PM and provided excellent customer service. He would regularly check in on the project to ensure every detail was covered. He even unexpectedly watered our plants while our irrigation was in progress! I am extremely happy with our new living space and Modern Yardz made the entire process stress free.

Stumbled across Modern Yardz while Googling landscapers in San Diego County. Immediately was drawn to them based on their reviews and the work portrayed on their website. Submitted a free consultation and was immediately contacted by Weston. On the day of the consultation, Weston reviewed a poorly drawn model of the project we wanted and he came up on the spot with certain revisions to the project. He told us not to worry as he and his team will provide us a 3D Model of our project to see first hand how things will actually look. Within a week, Weston had the model available to us and we quickly fell in love with the look. We were taken aback by the model we immediately thought cost wise, we were going to go above our budget. But we were totally wrong, Modern had totally blown the competitors out of the water. Once we had materials and the layout confirmed at our walkthrough, the project immediately begun two days prior. Our project manager, Luke was amazing help throughout the entire project that took a week to complete. We had a lot of questions and concerns, but Luke was available immediately to answer all those questions and even provided us with recommendations/upkeep for our yard. It has been a true pleasure working with Luke and Weston of Modern Yardz. Would highly recommend them to anyone looking to upgrade their yard.

Our project manager Frank kept us updated at every stage, always making sure we understood the process and were happy with the progress. We had a great experience with Modern Yardz for our backyard renovation. Our project was fairly large and complex with a sloped canyon lot that required 4 large retaining walls, extensive drainage, concrete steps and a wheelchair ramp, a paved patio, and ~100 new plants.

From our initial consult meeting with Jake, we were impressed with the team’s communication and attention to detail. Our designer Dave worked with us to refine our vision for the space and create an amazing and functional design. Our project manager Russel kept the project on track, on time, and within budget. We also appreciated that the owner Thomas was involved in our project and overseeing the process.
