Definitely worth a visit to this nursery if you want locally grown annuals that are cheaper and healthier than big box stores.
This is the only nursery that I was able to find the trailing tropical Vinca seen in the picture, in East Texas & Southern Arkansas.

The manager places a strong emphasis on selling plants that are native to Arkansas. She is passionate about plants and enjoys people. Buying local is a win/win. The prices are nearly half that of the big box stores, and the quality is superior. Bigger and healthier plants are the norm. I love it here!

We are new to Maumelle and wanted to get familiar with our local nursery. We bought our poinsettias here for the holidays; they are lovely and the prices good. We also bought 2 varieties of gardenias and planted them shortly before that icy cold snap. We covered them with sheets and they are doing fine. Great products!

I have been going there for about 8 years because I thought it was a good place to get my favorite annuals. I spend about $250 or more a year in there. I've always noticed that the lady who rings me up is not very friendly. She is not rude, but simply business, ringing me up because she has to. I always told her what I had but she or another worker always lifts and separates every plant on my cart to make sure. I didn't think that was unusual. I have noticed her being friendlier with other customers but I assumed she knew them personally. This time I was in the store a little longer then usual. I had to go in and out a couple of times in efforts to load my plants. It was then that I noticed that she was very friendly to other customers. Plus, she simply asked them what they had on their carts and trusted their answers without hesitation. While this may not mean anything to some, it does to me and I have decided not to go back. I have never had any problems with the quality of their plants so I'm giving them 2 stars. Their customer service took the other 3. I'm sure they won't miss my $250 but they are friendly to all customers at Lowe's.

Terrible customer service. We were not greeted the entire time we were in the nursery. There was only one other customer at the time. No one asked us if we needed help nor mentioned they would be with us in a second. As a future first time plant buyer I was very disappointed in the service, but not surprised. Even as we walked out they still didn’t offer any assistance. I do not recommend!

Great variety of very healthy plants. I have bought many plants from Maumelle Nursery for several years and continue to shop there because of the friendly and helpful employees and the plants are better than those I’ve purchased from other places

The owner and associates are always very helpful. The plants are high quality. Very satisfied, will be retuning soon. I highly recommend.
