Great nursery with a large selection of plants and very helpful staff. The layout of all of their plants with covered pathways makes such a difference. When you're wandering around to make a decision. They have a indoor shop with house decor and a separate greenhouse for succulents. In the field. They have a huge inventory of trees, agaves and shrubs. We picked up a beautiful Silver Bismarck palm tree and Macdougali at great prices. Looking forward to going back again.

Very nice nursery with excellent selection and variety of annuals, pals, trees, shrubs, etc. They are more expensive than what I was expecting, but quality and variety don’t come cheap. The woman in the golf cart was helpful and uber friendly. The buildings are beautiful, the place feels like garden. Very pretty.

Very nice plants, large and small. Expensive but great quality. Staff know their plants but sometimes really busy! They have their own fertilizer that is organic & people get addicted to it. They also have their own potting soil. Azelea, holly tree, large cat palms, variegated ginger, Cordylines, crotons, ponytail, lots of grasses! Very clean and large. Lots and lots of beautiful expensive pots and statues for your garden.

I have been going here for years for plants, trees and shrubs for our home landscaping. I appreciate that if they are out of something they can usually tell you if they are getting any more in and when. There are many varieties and sizes of small flowers through trees to choose from; landscape rocks, pebbles, boulders. They have many small to large pots, fountains, and even have a neat gift shop at the rear of the property - some unique gift ideas there, especially if you are looking for something for inside decor; wall hangings, Florida decor.

It is a large property, and many things going on, with many customers not familiar with the proclivities of Florida plants and trees so asking lots of questions - but a little patience yields great choices of plants and trees and some free guidance to get it done successfully.

We have visited this nursery several times to purchase the hundreds of dollars of plants that have been needed to landscape our yard over the past 2 years. Our last visit was the end of May 2022. We had purchased 20 Ixora plants for a contained garden.
We have these plants on automatic irrigation and have kept them very healthy. So healthy in fact, that they have doubled in size. That is all of them except 1. The one that is still the original size also has a different color of leaf.
So I called the store. I had just assumed that I had somehow gotten the wrong plant and we could just do an easy replacement.
No such luck.
I was told to email their plant "specialist" and he would advise us how to proceed.
So I did as I was asked and included multiple pictures showing the differences of the other plants compared to the smaller one. However, I received a reply from Francois stating that I must not be watering correctly and that they are the same plant.
So I decided to call and explain that these were all planted on the same day 6 months ago, they are all on irrigation and have been cared for the same.
"Megan" then explained to me that I probably received a dwarf variety mixed in with the larger variety, but that since I planted it I can't exchange it.
My husband then got on the phone. He explained that we have purchased hundreds of dollars of plants and that there was obviously an error when they selected & loaded our plants, but we just want what we paid for and not the dwarf variety.
Megan told him that this wasn't their problem since we planted the plant and didn't bring it to their attention.
For the record, we don't live in our home full time and we called as soon as we noticed that they had given us the wrong plant.

While they do have a wide selection, their customer service is non-existent. Here we have a situation where the company wronged a customer. Yes, it is only about $20, but for them to care that little about a client who can provide the receipt for the item she didn't receive, just shows that they don't care about their customers returning once they have given them their money.

Just discovered this gem of a nursery. Will be going back for sure. Prices are very reasonable, selection is great, and the plants look vibrant and healthy, the selection of pots are fantastic and priced reasonable as well, and the grounds are well maintained and clean.
This will be our "go to" nursery from now on! If you are a plant fanatic like us, check this place out! We ended up buying five plants & one pot on this trip. I'll be busy planting tomorrow!

What a beautiful place to visit. Unbelievable amount of inventory. Peaceful and calming place. Prices are high, but worth the quality products. A must visit, in the heart of Lakewood Ranch.

First time at Mariposa Nursery, it's absolutely fabulous. The most helpful staff, women drive you around in golf carts to pick out the perfect trees. I bought a beautiful palm tree for inside my lanai. It's looks gorgeous. They helped me load. Then I went back in for some shade plants---they have a huge selection. What a great find! Thank you Mariposa. Reasonable, good prices too!
