We had a pool installed recently and the landscaping company we had been recommended kept dragging their feet on getting the project started. While waiting on callbacks and estimates, we decided to go to a local company and check them out. We just stopped by Mansfield Landscaping without an appointment. We were greeted by Steve and he spent over an hour with us discussing how he works and what he had to offer us. At that time, he showed us all the products he had and could select for our project. He allowed us to hand select our palms and trees as well as the stones and pavers for the hardscape. Steve had a huge selection to choose from and it was great to be able to actually see the products before they arrived for the project. The next day Steve came to our house to give us an estimate. In less than two weeks, this large project was complete. It wasn’t cheap but we feel it was worth it. He delivered a beautiful product and we are very pleased. I know we will enjoy it for years to come. We would recommend his service highly.

We had a pool installed which caused the destruction of 3 of my sprinkler zones and lack of water and construction caused much damage to sod requiring replacement. We contacted Mansfield and Steve (owner) arrived at house to review the project. Our initial thought was irrigation and sod replacement. Steve walked the site and came up with some excellent ideas with regard to landscaping including building several stacked walls. Wife and I found the design phase very satisfactory and having same company doing the irrigation system and sod replacement a good idea as the coordination of these two items would be controlled by Steve. Once contract was signed Steve had his crews out here very quickly. Nick the irrigation person has been very easy to work with and has returned twice to correct some issues under warranty. Of all the work my only negative aspect has been the installation of the sod. Crew placing the sod left gaps between strips of sod which gave the appearance of trestles on a railroad track. This made walking on the sod extremely difficult. If I were to disregard the sod work I would rate Mansfield as 5 star however, the sod was done poorly and this brings the overall rating down to 3 stars. Would I use Mansfield again - probably not based on the installation of the sod. Steve kept asking me to input my rating but I waited until the sprinkler and drainage issues were resolved. Based on my waiting on these corrections Steve said he was reducing my one year warranty to a 90 day warranty. Mind you that Steve charged us over $25,000 for this project.

We have a home that was built in 1956 that still maintained some of its original landscaping and was in dire need of updating. A phone pop-up ad directed us to Mansfield landscaping and after researching the website and other reviews we contacted Steve Mansfield for an estimate. There is a reason why he says he will be your last or only estimate. Steve was prompt for the estimate appointment and spent over an hour offering suggestions and gathering input from us about what we wanted while also making suggestions of what would work best. Once we agreed on cost and scope of the project, the work started on the date specified and was finished on time with superior results. Steve’s crew provided quality work and materials and paid extreme attention to the smallest details, including a thorough cleanup at the end of each workday. We were extremely comfortable with his knowledge and level of input to the project, and equally impressed by his multiple trips to oversee the project while it was ongoing, as well as coming by for a final inspection to make sure we were completely satisfied. We would highly recommend Steve and Mansfield Landscaping for any project of this magnitude.

Steve and his team were able to create a backyard Oasis for us!
His method seems a little unusual at first (a neighbor recommended them to me and shared what to expect) - but it makes 100% sense because it is all his years of intellectual capital and experience he is offering!
We had other landscape designers come out hear our ideas and then take weeks to come back with a proposal (after several follow-ups) and completely miss the mark.
Steve comes out listens to what you want first - repeats it back - then offers suggestions to come to a mutual idea. He then draws up the plans on the spot and offers the proposal then and there - leaving us with confidence and excitement.

His team was incredible - very kind and professional, while also attentive to detail and skilled in their trades.

We are very happy with how everything turned out!!!
