I met Joe over two years ago when I was looking for landscaping contractors to help me with a very detailed project that required extensive effort, planning, and organization.

I interviewed a number of contractors, Palmers was one of 6 that I met with at the time.

When I met Joe I was incredibly impressed with his knowledge, his responsiveness, and his willingness to give me numbers of previous customers that I could call, and eventually after calling, go see his work.

I chose Palmers based on the references, my engagement with Joe, and a connection that just felt right. Joe appeared to be a man of character and integrity, so made the decision to go with him, and my choice ended up being perfect!

The house was under renovation which meant that Joe could not start his work until the renovation was finished.

I had terrible drainage issues, including standing water, flooding, just a great mess with any rain, and worse of course in heavy rains, and I needed help correcting this issue as well as complete landscaping including removing what was there at the time, a total landscaping design and installation, including both a front and rear paver patio and entrance.

Joe visited the home many times, since I am not local, I would often request a meeting on short notice and each time Joe was exceptionally responsive!

To address the drainage Joe developed a plan that included tying my gutters into drain fields, changing the grading around the house, and installing two large outdoor sump pumps to move the voluminous amounts of water that would collect around the house.

These pumps were special orders, and I paid a deposit in advance so that they could be ordered.  I made this initial payment two years before the start of any work, and later I made additional payments prior to work starting as the project grew based on my requests.

The project has now been completed and I could not be more pleased.  The end result was exceptional.  Best of all, my drainage issue which was simply overwhelming has now been totally eliminated!

I can't express how big of an issue the drainage was, I did include pictures which will provide an idea, but the reality was that the house was simply not inhabitable because the drainage created such a strain on one's quality of life. The drainage is now solved, not only is the exterior beautiful, but it is also dry, which is such a blessing, I think the attached pictures will provide some great examples of how bad it was,  compared to how great it is today.

As I mentioned, I do not live locally so my conversations with Joe were usually from my home 1500 miles away. Joe ALWAYS responded to my texts, and/or promptly. Joe ALWAYS kept me informed on what was happening, including sending me texts and videos of the work progress.

The Palmer team was clean, on time, and efficient, I simply could not be more pleased, and I am so grateful to Joe and his team for all of their incredible work.

We could not have found a better landscape company. The completed work is beautiful (and will mature even more beautifully over time). Equally as important - as an operational hotel, we had to worry about guest disturbance, timelines, etc. Joe and his team listened and responded to all of our concerns. The work commenced and finished on schedule, the crew was thoughtful and worked extra hard to minimize disturbance and left areas neat throughout the project. All of the plants and trees selected within the design were just right and the fact that they are thriving is a testament to the quality. This was a big job for us (including tree removal, drainage installation, replanting and stone cover plus coordination with a deck replacement contractor). Landscape by Palmer continues to respond to any and all follow-up questions, well after completion. You cannot ask for more.
