Spring is the best time to shop here. Their selection right now is outstanding, and as always the service and staff are very helpful. I happen to be searching for a Wisteria Tree and lucky to purchase it without a lot of fuss. As you can see its healthy and already blooming!

I will try to be fair in reviewing this place.

The good is that they have a great selection of trees, shrubs, flowers and bushes. It's a nice nursery.

The bad is that they are overpriced and even when they have a sale, you can still get better deals at places charging full price for the same plant.

Now, here is the really bad. Last summer, I bought a tree from this place and paid for them to plant it. Planting costs roughly half of the cost of the tree more and that's about average.

However, whoever they used to plant the tree absolutely mauled it when he planted it in my background. It was a six foot or so tree, not mature and I would estimate about about 30% of the branches were broke during installation. The planting itself was also not great. There's a bit of a lean.

I called the nursery several times and was told the owner would have to call me back. When she finally did, about a month later she promised to send someone out. They never followed up.

So I'm done with this place.

This nursery has a great selection, prices are decent and the employees are friendly and helpful. Our first experience was really good. bought our tree and paid a portion of what the tree costs (for us about $100 ) to plant the tree. The guy came in a few weeks later to plant the tree. My husband and I don't know much about planting and thought at first that everything was good. We've had the tree for about a month and it's already starting to die. Tonight my husband and I did some research as to why this could be happening. We've made sure not to over water or under water and have pretty much babied it. So tonight we decide to buy some good potting soil, top soil, and mulch. We dug up the tree and were careful not to harm the roots. We found that not only was the burlap still around the tree but the twine was still around the tree and not cut. From what we've read and heard this is a HUGE no no. Twine around the tree can kill a tree. We expected that paying this much money to have what we thought was a professional to plant a tree would have been worth the money. Do not have them plant your tree and do it yourself it could save you a lot of money in the end. Had we not have done our research and had not dug up and fixed everything and replanted our tree it would have died. I'm very very disappointing and will probably never go back there again.

I sent an email that was elementary clear, simple, and concise, so as to not waste their time answering a long email. The response was incomplete and definitely gave the impression that they didn't want my business. This garden center treats customers like they are ignorant and bothersome. I have been to their location before, and I came away with a feeling like they don't really know their business. A home improvement store has been more helpful than this garden center.

Bought a tree from them 18 months ago and it died. Spent several hundred dollars on it. The arborist I hired to try to save it said it died due to being planted wrong and most likely being sick from the beginning. Lake St. Louis garden center offered nothing to me not even a discount on a new tree. Only a one year warranty on a tree that I did everything to save. Awful customer service.

We bought a tree last spring. The tree was thriving through the end of the year. This spring it was apparent the tree had died. When we bought the tree we asked about the warranty and was told it was one year. In the spring when we first called we were told the warranty was for 50%, when we called the second time they said the guarantee was for only 6 months. Six months is not enough time to determine if a tree will thrive or die. I would warn anyone before buying trees from Lake Saint Louis Garden Center.

The knowledgeable staff is a +, the selection of plants, flowers, and garden accessories is top notch. Prices are about as good as any nursery.

The coy pond is outstanding, and the fish are the size of small dogs!

Love the atmosphere there, love the staff, and love what they offer.

The Christmas trees were once worth the high price. That is no longer the case. Emailed them and told them how disappointing it was a day after my purchase and they could care less. Also the guys who tied to to my vehicle had no clue what they were doing. Almost lost it on the hwy and had my kids in the back seat holding on until I could pull over and wait for my husband to secure it.
