So we arrived about 5:50 p.m. to search for some garden plants that I needed. I did not realize that they were closing at 6. I thought they were open until 7. We were looking through the plants and an associate approached us and asked if we need any help and we inquired about the location of some peppers. They helped us and then also informed us that they were closing. So we said hey we need to just grab a couple plants and we'll be on our way and they said that we didn't need to worry and they weren't pushing us out. Nevertheless, we just grabbed the plants we needed and ran up to the register.
I gave the cashier 7 four inch square pots at $1.59 ea and 1 four inch round pot at $3.59 He pointed out I had 2 more four inch square pots at the back that my son hadn't passed forward. I thanked him and said yes.
Now we were down to 3 one gallon blackberries. I said, I have 3 of these. He rang them up without mentioning a huge price difference. Two rang up at $12.99 and one rang up at $19.99. A 53.8% increase on one blackberry. I noticed it when given the receipt.
He had pointed out my discrepancy in the count of $1.59 pots but failed to mention a $7 discrepancy in their pricing of their product?
I said wait a minute these are the same plants in the same pots, why is one priced higher? Not a word from him just a shrug. I said these are labeled identically except for the price. Again, not a word just a shrug.
It was the end of their day and they were ready to close so I didn't want to make a big scene and bring the manager up to solve this issue. I work in a business that likes to close on time and I understand the dilemma. So again I didn't say anything. However, this cashier should have been empowered to fix the situation on the spot. And if he wasn't empowered to do it, he should immediately call a manager to handle it without me having to make a scene.
Additionally, why are the 2 $12.99 labels printed and the $19.99 higher label handwritten?

A huge nursery with every type of plant and tree imaginable. You could spend hours here roaming and looking around. I'll get to what I came for, I like yard art...metal stuff. They have tons of it here now, way more than last year. We have bought birdhouses, metal owls, metal songbirds.. lots of it to out around our ranch.
Now I'm gonna give the owners a want....bring on the dinosaurs! I'd love to see some big dinosaurs, like 6 feet ones. I have to go to either Son Silver West in Wickenburg or Cactus Jack's in Vegas.

Well here's some pics for the other metal art fans out there.....

I shopped here for years and loved it!
I feel like now the have a monopoly in Cedar City now!! Pricing has gone up, customer service has gone down and selection and quality has decreased.
They now close at 6 pm.
Last year they would have got a 5 star but it is not the same store now.

We liver Ladybug nursery! We go every spring and throughout the summer. They have everything you need for garden and yard . Employees are always nice and knowledgeable. Prices are competitive and on many item they are the lowest. I've only had 1 item returned and there was no problem at all.

I love Ladybug Nursery, however...we visited a couple days ago and I was excited to explore and shop for yard pieces. Nothing that caught my eye was priced!! I stopped one of the employees and inquired about the price and was told "There's a list at the checkout. They can help you up there." Okay, so we fill our cart with items we have no clue of the price? Unacceptable and very frustrating.
Once we got to checkout, prices still couldn't be found on the list.
Other than that, we'll go back and try it again. Hopefully they'll be caught up to speed.

I will not go here ever again nor recommend it to anyone! I am an avid houseplant collector and I have never had an experience like this ANYWHERE. My initial impression was that the houseplants were WAY overpriced. I figured since it was a small local business I’d buy a few plants and support them anyway. I purchased two small monstera deliciosas and instantly knew that the soil wasn’t well suited for an aroid plant, but I assumed they would last until I was able to get them repotted. Nope. One began rotting within a few days and by the time the second one began rotting after 14 days I returned them immediately. Monsteras are very hardy beginner plants and I have had great success with them, I would not have returned them if I thought I was the problem and yet they argued with me for at least 5 minutes. I showed them one of the rotting roots and the lady pulled out her scissors, chopped it off, and said that the plant was fine, even though multiple leaves came off from her handling and because the stem and nodes were rotting. Part of the plant could have been salvaged (and I mean a small part) but I was not going to pay that price for PART of a plant. I mentioned that I have a monstera that has been doing great for almost two years, so I know how to care of them and her response was “good for you.” I wish I was kidding. So much for the customer is always right. As a plant collector I’d go there often, especially since it’s the only option in Cedar. They lost a lot of business from me over $12 worth of plants.
