I bought a pallet of sod from him. He charges a $15 deposit on the pallet. When I took the pallet back he wouldn't refund my deposit because I didn't have my receipt with me. When I said I guess that's why you have all the negative reviews on Google he threw me off the property. This guy doesn't have any customer service. All of the negative reviews as well as his responses to them tell the whole story. Save your self some frustration and go somewhere else.

King Sod was able to help me today with no issues. The quality of sod was amazing and the owner did not give me the run around. He did absolutely amazing and was very professional. I will continue to use this place for all of my sod needs. Always has sod on hand other places take days and I even had to chase down there delivery truck or wait hours more when it should have been there in the morning wasted half a workday to get Sod that day from that company and it was garbage sand dirt all fell off pieces were all different sizes just Garbage. King Sod pieces are perfect like carpet samples has black dirt A+ quality. I have been through a lot of Sod companies and nobody touches the quality of sod that king sod has. I left there with a full pallet on my trailer and I went to Go Mulch to get a pallet of mulch even the owners and people inside took one look at that sod and said that is some damn good looking sod. Where did you get that? I let them know. KING SOD I have read some of the other reviews that people have said about this place And when I was there, the guy in front of me was being rude didn’t speak very good English and was sarcastic. I don’t blame the guy one bit. For being rude right back to him honestly, if it was me, I might’ve punched that guy in his mouth talk to me like that in my place of business when you treat people nice and talk to them respectful, you get the same back and that’s all I got from the owner there At King, good service and the same respect that I gave him right back really good dude to do business with I don’t have to worry about never letting down any of my customers because I can’t because king Sod always has it in and the best quality I have seen and worked with

The worst costumer service I’ve ever experience. I went there over the weekend to buy some grass for a project that I’ve been working on for my backyard. Upon arriving I go outside with a friend of mine and was immediately yelled out by a worker to “leave the property”. I’m not sure if the man was offended that I was speaking Spanish or what the problem was exactly but I have never been treated so rudely by someone. There was another couple that was nearby and even they where turned off by this treatment towards me and immediately left the premises as well. Unless you want to be disrespected by someone who you’re trying to give business to I would avoid this place at all cost.

Why are you Rude to your Customers?
I don’t understand why you had an attitude with me when I came to your place of “BUSINESS”.

I didn’t do anything to you , literally at all.

I called you 2 times to see if you had any sod available. You had a recording which I know gets updated regularly, which is helpful and appreciated, as it saves me time when you say on the record what your sold out of.
Any way this particular day you didn’t answer and it wasn’t clear on your voicemail if you had sod available that day or you didn’t. So I decided to drive over and check with you in person if you had any available.
seeing as you do have a store open to the public selling sod, I thought it was a good idea.

However, I arrive at your store and walk through the front door , and kindly asked you if you had any st.Augustine available.
That’s when you responded
“NO , CANT YOU READ THE SIGN ON THE DOOR ? WERE SOLD OUT”

You implied that I was either dumb or have impaired vision, but I bit my tongue, smiled and said oh, okay have a nice day and walked out.

Sir, you’re ought to be thankful that I was in a good mood that day.
You disrespected me to my face for no reason.
No i didn’t see the sign on your door, but you could talk to me like a gentleman.
I came to you to purchase what you’re selling isn’t that your goal?

Why the tone ? Why the disrespect?
Man to Man , I know you deal with a lot of problems running a sod business, but for you to take a disrespectful tone with me as a repeat customer of yours I was shocked.

Let me know when you’re ready to apologize..

Ken at King Sod took care of me. Delivered good quality, fresh Bahia sod pallets early in the morning, providing me the full day to lay sod. Recommend this supplier to any one who is in the market for sod. Pictures are from the day after throwing the load. Notice how green and fresh it is.

Update: Adding 2 photos after 9 months. Very happy with this product. Looking like a page from home & garden magazine.

Owner accused me of stealing. I got what I paid for. he counted and verified to, Not 1 apology. Do yourself a favor go else where unless you wanna be berated by the owner. He charges whatever he wants to. Prices on his website are not accurate.

Where possible, I prefer local vendors and enjoy spending a few minutes learning about their business. Got to know Ken a bit more and learned about his kid's college studies.

For this effort, I secured a pallet of floratam via delivery.

Ken promised early morning - 05:00 drop off - at my house behind the HOA "gates of iron". He got to me by 05:02 and completed his delivery before I grabbed a hot cup of "joe".

Able to use all 150 sod pieces with insignificant few needing a little geometry skill to configure. Everything look good so I went back and grabbed another 50 sod pieces to repair another area.

Being from New Jersey, I respect Ken's counter / customer style and found myself getting a kick out of it. As he remember me from the more delivery, he helped me load those 50 sod pieces ensuring I didn't get any more geometry type pieces.
