We are delighted with the service provided by Hopes Grove Nurseries for our multi-species hedgerow project at The Oval Bandstand in Cliftonville. From start to finish, their service was excellent. The delivery was exactly as promised, on time and perfectly packaged to ensure the saplings arrived in pristine condition.

The planting instructions from their website were clear, thorough, and extremely helpful. The quality of the saplings exceeded all expectations: they were exceptionally healthy, a great size, and showed tremendous promise for strong growth.

The only reason this isn’t a full 5-star review is that we would have appreciated an email from either the supplier or the delivery company just prior to the agreed delivery date to confirm everything was on track. Aside from that small improvement, we had a top-notch experience and highly recommend Hopes Grove Nurseries. Thank you for helping us create a hedgerow we’ll be proud of for years to come!

I ordered 75 Beech Green Potted hedging some 4-5ft and 5-6ft. They all looked healthy when they arrived and were delivered on time. Though some of the pots had weeds which needed removal. Three weeks post planting they are thriving and looking very well. I am very happy with this purchase and would recommend Hopes Grove Nurseries.

Do not buy from here! Even one star is too much from my experience. I decided to go against advice and give the benefit of the doubt as they had offers on. Plants not in great condition. One had more than half the bark missing off stem and they said it was fine. Tips have started growing grey and brittle. Started dying not long after and they are still refusing to exchange or refund. Keep asking for more pictures and plant is clearly dead and advising it should be in a 25l pot from the 3l pot it arrived in!!! Avoid at all costs!!!!!

I would not recommend this company due to:

1) VAT is added to at the very end of the process so your order is 20% more than expected. I appreciate they probably deal with a lot of trade customers but without making it clear from the outset it feels disingenuous

2) One of my 5 plants was damaged on arrival. I sent an email and photo 10 days ago but not had a response

I chose to order from this nursery because they have a wide selection of plants, many unavailable from other places. Online order placed on 11 October was delivered on 28 November. I ordered from another nursery on the same day and that other was delivered before the end of October. End of November is just too late for plants to get established before the frost sets in so I was really disappointed. Plants themselves looked ok when arrived and well packaged. I planted them out anyway, we'll see how many survive. I wouldn't order from Hopes Grove Nurseries again in autumn.

Very disappointed, very poor quality Escallonia plants, diseased leaves and bare branches. Twice emailed the nursery with photos asking for replacement plants but absolutely no response. Red Robin plants healthy and a good size. Will not use again.

Ordered 20 red robins 5 days ago, I received an email that said they would be ready for despatch in 7-10 days, I received them today, 5 days after ordering, fabulous. The boxes are very dented, but it looks as though
the plants have survived the journey. They look really healthy with good leaf colour. Edit *4 months after planting, the bushes have survived and are growing well. Photo one shows good height, 2nd photo shows width growth with laurels.

Ordered box hedging and was delighted with the plants.Good roots and healthy foliage,slight hiccup with delivery came later than promise by a couple of days but that's courier not nursery.
Would definitely shop here again .
