Bill Campenella was a delight to work with. He came out within two days after calling for an estimate on some new flower beds in the backyard. He drew sketches of what he thought would work best and suggested the plantings as well. The 4 gentlemen who came out to do the work were polite, worked with me on the final layout and were neat and efficient. I would highly recommend Gospel Gardens to anyone!

My husband and I spoke to Dan back in February to design a landscaping plan for us. He listened to what I was looking for and designed almost exactly what I had in mind. We met with him again one morning to look at some of the plants I was less familiar with and to pick out stone, edging, etc. We made a few changes to the plan to eliminate some of the more toxic plants in case we do get another dog; then scheduled the work to be done mid April and put down a deposit. They were unable to make the scheduled day, but we did not find this out without having to call them to find they were behind due to the recent heavy rains and bad weather we had. It was about 10 days later when work started, and it took 3 days to finish all the work. After the first day's plantings, I noticed one section in the front was completely off plan, and a number of plants were missing in other areas and the wrong plants had been placed on the side of the house. We called Dan the next day and he came out with his crew after lunch. The missing plants had just arrived, and he had his crew replant the front and side according to the original plan We were also able to reuse all the builder's plants in the back around the shed. We are very happy with the results. The crew was very hard-working and respectful and cleaned up nicely every day. I would give 5 stars but for the slight communication issues and the errors which, to their credit, did get corrected. We have gotten a lot of compliments on our yard since the work was done. The flagpole and lighting around it were installed prior to the landscaping and the crew worked around it. All in all, we are very happy and would recommend them. It is a family business and, for the most part, they seem intent on keeping their customers satisfied.

Family owned.They are attentive to you and willing to answer any questions you have about their plants.They helped me load my plant which was heavy for me.
They have birds and turtles.Even my healthy plant had some plump worms for the soil.Alot of variety.

I have never had a worse experience with a company. I am convinced that if I had not repeatedly called, they would have taken my deposit and done nothing. They took my deposit and said they’d call to schedule in two weeks. A month passes- no call. So I call and they give me a day for the one day job. I call the week before- since I hadn’t received any additional confirmation- and the work has to be rescheduled because of rain. The day for the work arrives, but no plants, workers, or phone call. I call, we reschedule for the next day. However, again, no plants, no workers, and no phone call. I call 15 times before I get through and I’m told they’ll be there at 1. They show up at 2:45, and do half the job. Rest of the work is to be done the next day beginning at 1. Next day, don’t show up until 4, and with only half of the plants and none of the other stuff necessary to finish the job. I call- oh the paver guy will be in tomorrow- gee thanks for telling me. The guys who put in what plants they did bring couldn’t even say when they’d be back to finish the job. No care instructions either for my new plants.

The lack of professionalism displayed is astounding given that this is a local company that has been in business for quite some time. If I hadn’t put down the deposit already I would have told them to take a hike and I’d find another company to finish the work. If I were the owner of this company I’d be embarrassed by the lack of basic customer service. Never working with them again and will not recommend them to anyone.

Poor communication between workers and Dan and us. No follow up by boss or anyone in office. Job took several days instead of the couple promised and still not finished even though we have called several times. Workers did not come when promised and never worked more than a few hours. No explanation given about plant care. Sprinkler pipe broken by worker, fixed days later but now system still not right. The work that was done looks good but definitely would not recommend.

Horrible customer service. Ordered one plant months ago. Called many times and was told it would be in soon. Called more times and left messages. No one ever returned my calls. When I would eventually reach someone, was told they would find out what is going on and call me next day. Never happened. Not sure how people stay in business by treating customers this way. I like supporting local businesses rather than big box stores but not here, sadly.
