Isaiah and Robert were awesome at detecting the issue that I was having with our sprinkler system. Robert came over to do the repair, It took him five hours and went the extra mile to clean up and answer any questions that I had. Everything works great I would highly recommend. Xavier was able to schedule me and come by the day after I called. He helped teach me how to winterize my sprinklers on my own. He doesn’t blow out sprinklers. If you don’t know whether your sprinklers need to be blown out, he will check for you and doesn’t charge for the visit if it ends up needing to be blown out. I was appreciative of the service and experience overall!

Xavier was really great to work with. I appreciate how Gilson’s business model is to teach customers how to winterize their own sprinkler system instead of just charging for the service and hoping you’ll give them a call again next year. One of our automatic irrigation zones was broken and needed replacement and another had a leak from a broken pipe. Xavier and Robert came out gave me a competitive bid for a tight timeline on my end to get the system back up and running. The project was completed within a few days in a very professional manner, the system works beautifully and operates just as discussed. I had Gilson come out and look at my valve box because it's pretty old and will need to be replaced soon. They quoted me what I thought was a reasonable price to replace the main sprinkler line and the valves, but I ultimately decided to wait on the project because I have other landscaping details I need to figure out over the next year before I have my irrigation system replaced. This isn't what impressed me most, though. A couple weeks later, I was replacing some sprinkler pipe in my front lawn that had broken and went to a local irrigation supply company to get some pipe and adapters. When I got there and placed a section of the pipe on the counter, the employees looked at it like it was a foreign object. But it just so happened that Xavier, one of the co-owners of Gilson, was at the counter next to me. Without hesitation, he said, "I hope that isn't Rain Jet pipe!" And sure enough, it was. He recognized it just by looking at it. It's an old standard of 7/8" pipe that isn't used anymore, but it's what my whole lawn sprinkler system was set up with years ago. He took me to the side and explained the adapter I needed to buy and how I would need to put it together to make it work with modern-size pipes. He even gave me his personal cell and let me ask further questions later over text. The employees at the store were useless, but Xavier knew exactly what I was dealing with. I plan to hire them to do work on my new irrigation system when I'm ready! I am very impressed at how knowledgeable they are.
