Show about 4 years ago my local dump truck Guy brought me a load of ecocomm post that came from Missoula I have changed his name to the noxious weed guy I don't know what people in Missoula eat but they have every noxious reading on the man in their compost what a sad world the yuppiest place on the planet is the most poison

It’s a good concept but the fee increase is too much for being delivered free product for them to sell. I had a lot of branches which looked like a full truck but was mostly air and was charged $10.

Since the city took over the facility, it's much improved. People are very helpful and friendly. Equipment is functioning and making compost - not breaking down every other day when EKO had it. Looks better organized and if a facility that makes "good dirt" can be considered clean, that it is!

This place is very special and benefits our community in several ways. I’ve been dumping here every day for more than ten years. Not many towns have a cheap spot to dump green waste besides a landfill. Dumping here is literally 10x cheaper than our landfill. Any negative comments here are completely misguided. The city employees are professional and courteous, compared to Eko’s employees who were drunken derelicts. Eko started charging again before the city took over. Eko ran their business into the ground. The property was completely full of debris and all of the equipment was broken down. If the city didn’t take over it would be shuttered. The city makes no profit running this operation, they have millions of dollars of equipment at work out there. The town also works in treated waste and uses water from the treatment plant to water the adjacent poplar farm. So Missoula releases almost no pollution into the River.

So glad the City bought and is running this service. The compost is the best for a healthy green lawn and productive flower beds. Just wish they would expand it to demand all onetime use take out packaging to be required to be compostable. Instead of sending those big dumpsters filled with beer or coffee cups after a fest or farmer's market to the landfill, they could be turned into useable compost in a matter of months.

Was much better before the city of Missoula bought it. For example used to be open on Sundays now is no longer. Also used to get a free load of topsoil when you paid a dump fee that is no longer as well. Can’t understand why our city officials feel the need to buy private businesses only to make them less efficient.

We used to take our leaves and yard debris here every year and appreciated not being charged. We then supported this business by purchasing compost every year for our home and business. Now that the city owns Eko Compost they charge $7.00 per load of leaves which is astronomical considering how many loads you have to take each fall. They make a profit off of the material that you take to them-seems odd that they want to charge you for bringing them material so they can make a profit... We will be finding another alternative now.
