We bought a new home (new build) in July and got a bunch of quotes for landscaping prior to moving in. Frontier came in as the lowest price, and Matt's plan had exactly what we wanted in our backyard. We weren't sure how it would turn out since there aren't a lot of reviews, but decided to move forward with Frontier. We just wanted something simple - grass, shrubs and a few trees around the outside, mulch and rocks, and a path from the front to back yard. As you can see from the photos everything turned out great. Matt clearly cares so much about the work he does, and makes sure everything he plants and works on is going to last.

We were a bit surprised when he didn't have a crew show up to help - he did all this work alone in around 2 weeks which is exactly what he quoted for us. We were really impressed with how much he got done during the day all by himself! Matt also took the time to chat and tell us exactly what he was doing for the day, what his plan for the rest of the week was, etc. He was never too busy to answer any questions we had.

He also let us know he's going to come back to wrap our trees prior to the winter, which I thought was a nice touch. He wants our trees to last - something small, but that distinguishes him from other landscaping companies that just want to do your landscaping, get paid, then never hear from you again. It's clear he cares about his product.

We hired Frontier Landscape to install our minimal maintenance back and side yards.

Installing hardscaping is extremely arduous work. Matt subbed out the concrete work to a very competent concrete company. Before the concrete pour he prepared the drainage and sprinkler/drip systems, and he prepped the lawn area soil for sod.

We had Matt install 2”to 4” river rock in the swales and the bare spots. We received more dirt in the rock that we expected but Matt made it look good. We expect to settle out during the next few rain events.

We had Matt install two raised gardens with drip system and build them to a height that does not require any stooping.

Matt is a one man show and does “Excellent” work.

Matt transformed the dirt pit that came with our new build to a beautiful oasis for us. He took a loose that design that I had in my head and created exactly what we were hoping for. He was also great with making adjustments along the way. Everything Matt did for us was very affordable in comparison to other bids we received, but the quality was really high - and he did everything himself in a very short period of time. We also love that he came back to check on things two weeks after he completed the job and that he will also be back in the fall to winterize. Highly recommend Frontier Landscape Design/Build!

Moved into a new home with only a porch in the backyard. Matt built a beautiful timber garden bed around the porch, and landscaped the back and side yards with granite rocks, breeze, and grass. Also provided underground downspouts and built a breeze pathway from the garage to the backyard. Matt turned the unfinished backyard into the vision I had in mind. He was professional and responsive and worked through the rain to complete the project. I am very pleased with the final result. I highly recommend Matt.
