First of all the girl working there could not be nicer! Very cute old building with all kinds of plant related knickknacks and a very interesting serene garden out back. Due to bad advice from a San Mateo, nursery I killed my orchid and just for the heck of it started asking her about orchids. I learned quite a bit and they had some of the most amazing orchids I have ever seen. She said they are bred to be heartier than the ones you might find like my last one in Whole Foods that she said was really grown to bloom once but I could hang onto it if I wanted to try to save it or see if it would grow again. It was too far gone…. There was a tall double stack one I fell in love with and purchased for what I think is a very fair price. I thought I liked the larger blooms but all of these little blooms are so impressive and beautiful!! I hope this one stays alive. She pointed out it was already growing new stalks. I just bought a pot to put it in yesterday that cost more than the plant but that’s probably not that unusual. Please support the small local places- it’s really a jewel and kind of hidden behind the shopping areas on Main Street.

Bourse have been updated at the location however the google map hours haven’t been. I’m here on 5/7/2022 in hopes of getting my mother a beautiful plant and I was just left heavy burdened and empty handed…

An almost magical, quaint little gem with one of the most unique, creative, quirky and lovely of demonstration gardens I know of, anywhere else in the greater SF Bay Area. If you're in Half Moon Bay, just strolling through the back garden is worth a visit here; and, another.. The back gardens encourage you to slow your pace and take in the loveliness of the moment and the surroundings that you've found yourself in. A far, and welcome, cry from the typical, high volume, get in, get out garden buying experience.

It's in a rather stealth location; housed in some of the oldest buildings in Half Moon Bay proper, but still in the middle of town, just a block off of Main St.

Assistance starts with a warm smile and an attentive ear. The plant selection is not the largest but it's interesting enough, and thoughtful, as is everything about the place. It's not a forced thoughtfulness. It's a genuine thoughtfulness and warm caring approach that runs through the whole place and one's experience that makes it special. That's why I'll try this place first before heading to the larger nurseries located right off of Hwy 92.

The cut flowers I've bought there are as fresh as it gets, many of which apparently come from their own fields, located elsewhere in Half Moon Bay. The long stem roses I've bought there over the past few years are beautiful and have lasted long. The floral arrangements are creatively put together; casually elegant and fresh.

There are also many unique and creative garden items scattered throughout the farmhouse and out back, as well, inspiring one's imagination; enjoying the experience of putting together one's own unique and colorful home garden. It's nice just knowing that this kind of garden shop experience still exists. That's why I support it!
