We were introduced to the Elk Ridge Pottery Garage during the open house in November 2018. We got to see what was offered and practice throwing a pot. My husband and I ended up signing up for classes as a Christmas present. We started classes in January and it's been so fun!

Dawn is a great instructor and is knowledgeable! She is also very caring and does lots of little extra things for her students like spraying your pots, taking sacks off prior to open studio, and keeping an eye on projects. As a beginner, I have no idea how the process goes and so it's helpful to have her knowledge and expertise. I love that the class includes the clay, use of tools, some open studio time, glazes (premium glazes are an upgrade, but prices are reasonable), and firing in the kiln. She is also available for help during open studio time for a reasonable fee.

I am hoping to have to whole process down after our block of classes and plan to do open studio time afterwards. It's pretty cool to make your own pots, dishes, etc. I also love that she is local for us and it doesn't take long to drive or walk there. We have been super happy with our experience here and highly recommend the Elk Ridge Pottery Barn.

This is such a great place. My wife signed me up for a class for a Christmas gift. I literally knew nothing about pottery. Within a few weeks I was creating cups and bowls. It's been so fun to create diffrent items. I would highly recommend this place!
