Earthscape Gardens did a great job! They tore out our tired driveway and replaced it with pavers. The new look is outstanding. They also replaced and/or refreshed our landscaping with more California friendly plants and trimmed the yard with pavers, giving it a polished look. Neighbors have commented on how much they like it also. Nate is very knowledgeable and so easy to work with. His foreman, Arturo, was very helpful and all the crew was very professional. I would definitely recommend Earthscape Gardens.

If I could give infinite stars, I would. We had our front yard landscaping done...and I mean completely re-done...a field of weeds (because we ripped up the grass and just let it go wild) has been transformed into the most perfect garden. Dry creek, DG path, flagstones, birdhouses, bee houses, lighting and the plants and the bern and the mulch and it smells amazing and it looks like this is what should have been here all along.
Working with Nate was perfect start to finish. His bid was easy to understand so we were able to modify to fit our budget. His communication was great. I knew what was going to happen when and was able to plan accordingly. Arturo and the other crew members were hard workers and considerate. To be honest I was working from home and I didn't notice anything was going on except when I would go out front and see the amazing progress. Nate and his crew at Earthscape Gardens are good, honest, hard-working people. I can't wait to watch the garden grow and evolve and hopefully become a home to some native critters.

I have worked with many different gardeners, landscapers and horticulturalists on my yard. My quest finally ended after nearly 8 years of bad experiences when I encountered Earthscape. Of the many companies & individuals I have worked with, Nate at Earthscape is consistently the best. Not only can Nate walk around your yard and tell you the name and characteristics of every plant (we have over 100 species in our extensively landscaped yard), but when he works maintenance, it is professional plant by plant pruning, not using an electric hedge trimmer to quickly buzz cut plants. He can do more delicate work like trimming Japanese Maple (ours look great thanks to him), etc, and the results of his work are obvious in flourishing plants. He also supports at a level none of the others can even approach. The contractor who installed our high end outdoor lighting system did a poor job, leaving loose connections that they then refused to fix as the job was too small. Nate rescued me and even ended up discounting the quoted work because he solved the problems in a shorter time than expected and found a way to do the work without extra materials. That was a first for me. Honest businessman, very much customer Sat oriented, and an expert at his craft, not just horticulture but all aspects of landscaping, including construction, electrical, etc. Only downside is that because he's good, he can get pretty busy. Nate is not the cheapest out there, but you absolutely get what you pay for. I highly recommend Nate & Earthscape for any scope of landscaping work - he is the best among many in the South Bay/Peninsula.

An excellent landscape contractor. They helped me redo a badly overgrown and unmaintained yard. They know a lot about California native plants. They were very helpful and
and I enjoyed working with the owner Nate and his team. They really know what they are doing and produced a very professional result. I will be using them for maintenance.

We hired Earthscape Gardens to landscape our yard (front, back, atrium) and couldn't be happier with the results. We wanted a drought-resistant, low maintenance garden and they delivered on that and much more. We were so impressed with their competence, knowledge of appropriate plants, communication, and followthrough. Nate brings a practical mindset that perfectly complements Lisa's visionary design. They make a splendid team! In fact, their entire crew was a delight to work with. We were especially appreciative that they worked within our limited budget, respected and reacted to our input, and tailored the project to meet our needs. We couldn't recommend Earthscape Gardens more highly!

Nate and his team just finished designing and putting in my new front yard. After years of hemming and hawing (and spending lots of money on water) I finally made the leap to take out the scraggly lawn. It's been replaced by a lovely low water, low maintenance, native plant garden. Nate is the owner of the business, but he's also hands-on, working along side his team. They are efficient, competent, and extremely pleasant to deal with. Can't recommend Nate and Earthscape Gardens more highly.

We cannot imagine a better experience or outcome than working with Nate Fielding of Earthscape Gardens for our backyard landscaping. Nate has an artistic sense of design and comprehensive knowledge of plants. Communication was excellent. Nate was a great collaborator, and came up with many good ideas. Right from the start Nate listened to our desires and answered all of our many questions. He then translated everything into a detailed design, plant list, estimate, and schedule. Nate and his team worked hard, and completed the project on schedule. We look forward to continuing our association with Earthscape Gardens through monthly maintenance.

We've really enjoyed working with Earthscape Gardens. They are very passionate about gardening and it shows in the quality of their work. We've used them to maintain our fruit trees, add new plants, and keep our existing plants well manicured.
