Ordered plants delivered to Colorado. The root systems were incredible- very healthy. Plants thriving right away. Love the plant selection. Highly recommend.

I had such a great experience with Digging Dog Nursery. They were able to provide the specialty Dierama I was seeking....8 on-line calls in, I finally found a YES. The items arrived in only 2 days, in excellent condition and appearing quite healthy and happy. So grateful and will definitely be ordering from Diggin Dog again. Many thanks.

I have used Digging Dog in the past with success but was very let down with this recent attempt. I placed an order back in early April - was told in May that I would need to wait until June for it to be ready to ship. I was fine with that. Then I never heard another word. I emailed and called several times for an update with no response. Then today I called and finally spoke to someone about my order. They had crop failure (fine - I understand that as a gardener) and my order would not be available until August. I gave up and cancelled. My 1-star review has nothing to do with the plants - it is simply the lack of customer service and communication on their end that was truly disappointing.

Wanted to find a west coast plant nursery to order from, so I could have more variety than my local nursery and the ease of shopping from home. They have a great selection of perennials for my planting zone and their customer service is great. Plants came well wrapped, tagged and packaged with care. The box looked old and tired due to shipping/handling, but all the plants inside were fine. I ordered a large quantity of plants and only one plant started to show signs of oncoming doom so I pulled it from the garden and potted it, only to find moles were tunneling around the roots. The plant survived. I have free moles to good homes if interested. I do wish they had more pictures of plants in their website and catalog. I will order from them again.

Outstanding selection of hard to find plants, fast delivery, well packed, and excellent quality, size, & health. What more can anyone ask for? I have ordered numerous times. Most recent ordered arrived 9/22/2022. Very pleased with entire purchase from ordering online to delivery. Was especially delighted to see they use biodegradeable packing peanuts and not those annoying environment destroying styrofoam ones.

Best mail order nursery in the states! Fast shipping and great prices for hard to find perennials, grasses and shrubs. If you get a chance to visit the nursery the grounds are amazingly beautiful and they have planted borders so you can see what most of the plants look like at their full grown potential! The staff is very helpful and the owners are kind and knowledgeable and very involved! 10 out of 10 would try again!

This is a great place to find uncommon plant selections at attractive prices. Shipping does add to the cost, but that can't be helped. I have placed several orders and have been completely satisfied in each instance. In most cases, I have been pleasantly surprised by the large size of the plant received. Digging Dog is a small operation and some people might be frustrated that you can't always get someone on the phone or get an order filled within 24 hours. Don't be one of those people--just communicate by e mail, be patient, and enjoy the opportunity to get something not always available at other nurseries.

Could not find their hours online drove there while in Fort Bragg, they were closed. Tuesday-Saturday 10-4 for all who may need it. This may be summer hours I am not sure.
