I went on a hot & humid morning. Despite the weather, I went in and fell in love with DGC! The people are friendly, they have a lot of plants, cool gift items, decorations, soil, tools & garden art. I love shopping at and supporting local shops.

They do not honor their warranties. Half my trees died, despite plenty of water. It would be foolish to buy a big expensive plant from them.

Excellent selection of outdoor and greenhouse kept plants. The plants were mostly healthy, even in the heat of the summer. Labels were clear. The staff was friendly and offered to carry the soil bags for me. I will definitely come back.

Just visited this place for the first time and it will not be my last! Tons of super healthy plants and very helpful staff. I wish I would have gone here before going all the way to Callaways in Keller. Better quality and much better pricing.

I shopped here late last year after most of the fall/winter color had already been sold out. There was only one person working and it was getting close to closing. The weather was nasty and the store clerk was counting firewood for a man making such a purchase when I drove in. I ended up buying what was left of the best ornamental cabbage which quickly died for whatever reason and the clerk was mostly busy taking a personal call and fairly dismissive. Not rude or intentionally unpleasant but interested in calling it a day for sure. I was ambivalent about returning but it gets a lot of good reviews. It was an off day and off season, so I hope to have a better experience today. Mid-March so the selection is good I hope!

UPDATE changing to 5 Stars! The "clerk" is either the manager or the owner, probably the latter, and just multitasking across so many responsibilities. I went today for spring color. She was very helpful. Offered an idea that I hadn't thought of and was thankful for it. She's efficient and task oriented and since she's the only one managing the store (besides green house and labor help, from what I can tell) she has little time for much small town chit chat. I love that the plants are local grown and in the smaller pots unlike what you get at LOWES which has everything in 5 gallon containers+ and overpriced!

Greenhouses were difficult to navigate with a shopping cart, so I waited outside while the wife shopped. Prices are lower than Lowes and dogs are welcome. Lots of items need price tags, so be prepared to guess your total before check out.
