Our rear grade was a MESS - we had drainage issues from the day we moved in in 2018 until we found the right people who could take this mess and turn it into something not only functional but also beautiful! Cutting Edge took our rough plan & ideas and gave us exactly what we not only needed to fix the drainage issues but also what we desired to give us more outdoor space to enjoy. We had five downspouts emptying into the backyard from our very steep roof: they trenched and buried draintile to carry the water out and away from the house. They completely regraded the entire rear yard so that it would drain properly and gave us new shrub beds and turf. They installed a beautiful new flagstone patio area surrounded by planting beds. We are absolutely thrilled with our new rear landscape! It’s performing beautifully- That 3.5” of rain we had a few days ago with that winter storm? Flawless No water accumulated on the flagstone patio at all! Whatever runoff we did have followed the swale and was gone in less than an hour. Marvelous. Previously, with storms like that, we would end up with >1” of water up on the covered patio and standing water out in the yard for several days! Herman works very hard on our lawn each week and Robert was able to repair our irrigation system within a few minutes. The entire crew is very knowledgeable and professional.
