I love this place and wish everyone would spend a little time browsing their enchanting space. I used to think that gardening with CA native plants meant that I had to give up the bountiful blossoms I was accustomed to finding at other nurseries. But one visit here changed all that and set my mind racing with the possibilities for using natives to create a beautiful, sustainable garden. The staff are so helpful and happily take the time to share information. Every time I visit, I learn something new and my desire to garden with CA natives grows stronger. Mary has been particularly helpful in so many ways, including sourcing a tree in a larger size and having it delivered (up a hill!) to my backyard. I cannot say enough good things about CNL Native Plant Nursery--they are simply wonderful!

I visited CNL Native Plant Nursery while staying in SF with my son. He loves this nursery. Mary, the manager, is so knowledgeable about native plants; she was extremely helpful. I wished that I could carry plants home on the plane!ยก

If you're looking for a variety of California native plants year-round, this is the place. They know their plants and had a variety of the ones I was looking for. The nursery captures the art and science of gardening very well, you can tell that the owners and employees love their outdoor space and building beauty to share.

My go-to nursery for native, drought-tolerant, organic plants. My yard and friends and family members yards and balconies are now full of sages, succulents, and various purple flowers. Lovely space to walk around, next to a ceramics studio and a coffee shop. Mary is always very sweet and helpful and Marissa is full of specific advice for every plant (and vice versa), the other guys are rad too. Also a great source of crystals, palo santo, books on plants, etc.

I waked out my door one day to find that the company hired by my HOA had hacked down my 40-year old blooming jasmine vine. In tears and out of desperation I called a number of nurseries to see if I could get a full grown vine to replace it. No one could help me until I contacted CNL and talked to Marissa who pulled in the owner Mary because I was bawling.

This isn't even a native plant but they took sympathy on me and Mary promised to do her best to find me a replacement. A week later, I had my 15-foot plant.

There are no words to describe the immense gratefulness I have for Mary and Marissa. They cared and helped me, even when the request was not what they usually do. Thank you..
