This is the best nursery I've found in San Diego so far! Huge selection of plants, and the workers were very helpful. They also sell live lady bugs, which is what I originally came for. I left with my lady bugs and so much more.

Have you been to a nursery that is also a mini- farm/ petting zoo? That’s what is here at City Farmers. They answer your questions well, have great plants to buy….

And, a fun reason to visit them is because they have all kinds of animals, also. They have donkeys, chickens, turtles both small, and large, rabbits, and really nice flowering plants that draw gorgeous monarch butterflies.

This is a very cool place. It's worth a visit, even if you don't have plans to buy anything. It's owned and operated by the same family for the last 50+ years. They have some conventional stuff, but a lot more unique plants. The staff are extremely knowledgeable and helpful. And they have several fauna residents to visit, including turtles, tortoises, goats, chickens, and a miniature donkey.

There are many beautiful nurseries but this one has it all. City Farmers Nursey makes you feel at home. Come here to learn, meet animals, take a class, walk the dog, grab canning/fermenting tools and so much more. A beautiful family-owned plant lover's paradise. Check out the lovely flower shop and end your day with a cold brew while listening to live music at the garden grill as you make your way home with your new plant finds. My partner and I had a grand ol' time.

Magical nursery is all I can say about this place! Plant lovers can bring their families. Little ones can visit the mini donkeys, see their chicken roost, visit the turtle and tortoises, and say hi to the goats all while shopping for their next plant baby. Such a fun place to visit. Loved their different plant collection sections (Staghorn ferns, small selection of airplants, bromeliads, pottery, cacti, roses, pond plants, pollinators, pretty much everything you could imagine they have). They even have a bonsai section. If you happen to be in the area, stop here for a visit! Plenty of parking. There's a restaurant there and also a florist. Simply amazing!

This was a cute nursery in the middle of San Diego. The staff was friendly and helpful! They have a surprising number of farm animals: chickens, cows, goats, rabbits, turtles, and turkeys. My kids loved exploring! The parking lot is small but after a couple of minutes waiting we found a spot right in front. We ended up buying an orange tree. Prices are on the higher end.

One of the best selections of plants! Bare root fruit, to desert cactus. Enjoy the farm animals along all the walks of plants.
