Hate having to write a negative review but hopefully others learn from my experience. But approximately 800 ft of the superior fescue. About 40% of the grass received was already showing a questionable condition (yellowing and foul odor). Of the 40% half of it was not installed due to rot. We proceeded to install the sod we thought was salvageable and threw away the rest ( we ordered 20% extra sod allowing this option). The process to document and open a return claim was painful and long drawn to say the least, they offered to replace only what we return and we just simply did not have the time to load rotting sod and run the risk of receiving sod in the same condition again.We followed the recommended watering schedule and the soil was sproperly amended before installation. Within days of installing all the grass began to show signs of rot and now 2 months later 95% of the grass is dead after hiring a professional to intervene waiting for October to replace with new sod from a different supplier.

I don’t generally post reviews, but feel compelled to share this. We generally use Valley Sod for our grass but they couldn’t deliver on the necessary day. Ordered 2250 sq ft of sod. Prepared irrigation and soil meticulously and laid same day. Grass did not arrive very green and we had to throw out quite a bit, but assumed it would green up once planted and fertilized. Within days, grass was dying - even with recommended watering schedule. Sent pix and was offered replacement only for the amount thrown out! in the meantime, one week later and the grass is a disaster despite correct watering and no one even going on it. Having to redo the entire lawn with Valley Sod. Despite 30 day warranty, they refuse any $ credit and obviously we don’t trust them enough to accept more sod! BEWARE. GO ELSEWHERE! Waste of money and time.

Miscommunication when it came to delivery..Not 1 phone call to say hey we are here or we are in our way..Literally pull up and left within 1 minute..Not ring the door to ask where wanted it ..Left it in the curb now double the work to put it in the back ..BAD SERVICE FROM THE GIRL TAKING YOUR ORDER AND DRIVER ..CANT CALL AHEAD OR ATLEAST KNOCK IN THE DOOR TO LET YOU KNOW THEY ARE THERE ..

We bought 600 sq ft of their superior fescue. It was easy to order over the phone. And It was delivered when promised ( in fact a little early ). Sod was in great shape and installed with no issue.

Three weeks in the sod looks great and seems very healthy. I would recommend Cali Sod Center to anyone looking for quality product and delivery

A little personal project required about 450 sq ft of sod. Best price, Great reviews, and free delivery for such a small amount sealed the deal. Well, it only took us about 3 weeks to destroy about 50 sq ft with too much water...and the California Sod Center told us to come down and they would resupply us...along with some useful information how to keep it from happening again. I definitely recommend the California Sod Center and look forward to using them on larger sized projects.

They're nice on the phone but need to explain the protocol in picking up sod in your own vehicle. They're all in a big hurry and the loaders set the forks down WAY to fast and dented the fender wells inside the bed of my truck....couldn't see it until I off-loaded the last rolls at home. I can operate a forklift better than that!!!

I bought the same grass home depot sells for half of the price. I even saw a home depot truck loading the sod in the truck. I was shocked ! Best buy so far, I will definitely come back. The grass is beautiful and green. Sooo happy
