I found this beautiful plant nursery a few years ago driving through the area. It’s roughly 35 minutes away from my home, but completely worth the drive. My latest visit was the Friday leading up to Mother’s Day. They were definitely ready as they had a wide variety of plants and plant combinations already potted or ready to pot. They offered a great selection of very reasonably priced pots both small and large. I was there to purchase annuals, which are preforming quite well where I planted them. Of course, I didn’t just purchase what was on my list. I added to my collection of clematis. I can’t wait until they start blooming. This is not a very large nursery, but it has a huge selection and wonderful staff ready to answer all of your questions.

We stopped by not realizing they had closed for the season. The owner was great. Let us go through the greenhouse to pick out what we wanted and to purchase. We will be back. She made our day!!

It's practically perfect in every way. They have the highest quality plants and potting soil I've ever seen, along with eclectic and classic metal art, planters, and window boxes. They even have stained glass. It's a happy place.

They have the absolute best flowers ! If you want flowers to set out in your your or hanging baskets to put on your porch, go by and see the staff at Blackwoods. She helped me pick out shade plants and my sun plants. I was making flower beds in both areas and had no idea what to plant with the sun being so hot now. But they helped me.
I have a beautiful yard as does my mom.
