We spent a lot of money to landscape our front yard about eight years ago and over time, a lot of the plants didn't make it and the yard ended up being a lot more maintenance and work than we expected or wanted.

We saw a sign (for Bayside) on a recently renovated yard near our home that we liked and decided to call and consider reworking our own yard. Rick at Bayside was exactly who we needed to redo our front yard. He was easy to work with and helped us develop our thoughts and wishes into a functional plan that he executed on flawlessly.

Rick was on schedule, competitive and reasonably priced, easy to communicate and work with, and all around just a great guy. Rick was hands on, working with his crew, and they did terrific work very quickly. Our whole project was done much quicker than we expected whereas previously it took at least twice as long.

We are absolutely thrilled with the results, our yard is now exactly what we were hoping for. We would definitely work with Rick again without a doubt and highly recommend Bayside to anyone who asks.

Following my wife's (Anna) review below, I feel it's important to share my own disappointing experience with Bayside Landscape. After reading her review, I noticed that Bayside Landscape-Rick George has taken down account on Nextdoor. It's worth noting that potential customers should verify references independently and not rely solely on reviews posted on his website, which he fully controls and selectively posts. Furthermore, I couldn't find any presence for Bayside Landscape on Yelp either.

This situation raises concerns about transparency and accountability. My personal experience with Bayside Landscape was far from satisfactory, and I would advise others to proceed with caution when considering their services.

We hired Rick to redesign our front yard, but unfortunately, the job remains incomplete. Despite our efforts to have him return and finish the work, he has not. I have attached 4 photos showing the current state of our front yard and the unresolved mess.

I would highly recommend Bayside Landscaping. The owner, Rick George, was an absolute pleasure to work with. His prices were fair and his crew was on-time and efficient. We are thrilled with our new drought-tolerant garden and hard scape. Rick was also very knowledgeable with the San Jose Water Rebate process (it worked!) That was definitely an added bonus to a fine job.

The owner, Rick, was professional from the start.
From the moment he arrived at my house and we got talking, I knew this is the guy I wanted doing my landscape.
His rates were better than the other 4 companies I received quotes from. He and his workers worked extremely hard during the project, and were always open and willing to change things do to my indecisiveness-which happened a lot.
We went grass, mulch and rocks for both parts of my yard, and they were able to find the best deals on everything.
Seriously consider Rick and his team for all landscaping/hardscaping needs.

I hired Bayside to fix leaks I had in my irrigation and to cap sprinklers in the planting beds and transition them to drip. Rick and his team were responsive, communicated well with me from the beginning and on through. One thing I really appreciated, was Rick always being there on time when we planned to meet to discuss and review the project, and often a little early. His quote was clear and accurate. I did add to it during the process, like a new controller, and he promptly submitted a new quote and there were no surprises or additional costs beyond what we agreed to. One area that I think defines the reputation of an organization, is the follow through and responsiveness. When the work was completed, we thought we caught everything, note that some leaks were underground with one under a fence post. Rick and team did a good job locating these leaks. At the time it was still the rainy season, so the irrigation system was not in daily operation. Three months later when i turned the system on, a few issues popped up. I have many zones for irrigation so i was not at all surprised that a few things might pop up once the system was in daily use. I called Rick, let him know and he and his team were out there within a day to address them. His responsiveness and ownership of ensuring all turned out well is what sets him apart. I would recommend him. i found him to be honest, ethical and very easy to work with.

The owner came out to the job site every day and not only checked in on the job and team he also worked with them to get the job done. Everyone was respectful, on-time, cleaned up daily - this job really was exactly who we would want to work with all the time.

The job was done professional and on time, we can’t wait to refer them and use them again when needed for our backyard.
