Mark is awesome! He is friendly, knowledgeable, and goes the extra mile to help. His bamboo farm is beautiful! His plants are healthy, there is a large variety, and they are very reasonably priced.

I bought a Buddha Belly bamboo from Bamboo and Natives about 4 months ago and it's doing great. It's still small but growing lots of new shoots and much bigger shoots. Mark gave us a thorough education on bamboo.

The owner sold me two bamboos that were supposed to be Old Hamaii. They are not. The owner acknowledged they are not. His solution was to come buy two more. I'm out $250 and have bamboo growing in my yard that I have no idea what variety it is, which is extremely important when planting bamboo as a good source. The owner doesn't seem to want to identify the variety that he did sell me nor respond to my most recent emails. I took my original review down because he wanted me to, in good faith, but the fact that he won't respond to my most recent emails asking what kind of bamboo he did sell me leaves me no choice but to repost. Bamboos sleep the first year, creep the second, and leap the third. So if you don't want to be stuck digging up unknown varieties of bamboo, a huge job, a year or two after you buy it, I suggest you buy from a reputable nursery and not Bamboos and Natives.

Mark was patient and professional when I was researching bamboo for my yard. He is knowledgeable and drove me all over his farm so I could make the right decision. His pricing is reasonable. Mark's farm is quite an adventure and I look forward to working with Mark again in the future. Highly Recommend!

My husband and I drove out from Sebring area to grab multiple different variations of bamboo from Mark. I'm a sucker for old hamii, and all of the bamboo we have bought are so healthy and have been growing several new shoots. Compared to other nurseries, the old hamiis from Bamboo and Natives are definitely way healthier. My husband always has a lot of questions for Mark, and Mark always has the answers! We love to see the bigger mature bamboo on the property so we can see what ours will look like in a few years. We have bought seabreeze, green asper, old hamii, angel mist, graceful, and golden goddess, and so far they are all doing really well. We have been told by a few people that nothing really grows where we are at, so to see the bamboo doing so well encourages us. Everytime we talk about bamboo to our friends, we always recommend this place.

I stumbled onto this newly opened nursery just past Lake Suzy, Florida and off the Interstate 75 at the 170 mile marker. The married couple running this relaxing, pastoral paradise are Mark and Lorraine. Their selections of bamboo are widely varied and they can guide you to the plant that will suit your needs. In many cases people like bamboo that will not take over their property. Mark and Lorraine have the non-running plants you desire. Their selection of native plants are substantial even though they have only been open for a few months. If you want to encourage butterflies, they have many plants there to bring them to your outdoor space. They currently are open 7 days a week, but I can’t see that continuing. The grounds are beautiful and you are surrounded by bamboo, flowering plants, and birds. The pond is a pretty site also. Treat yourself to their place and find some things to plant.

I purchased 25 Seabreeze plants for a hedge last March. It is Dec. 22ed and I can say all the plants are doing great. No plant has less than 6 new stems. The tallest is about 16' and the shortest about 9'. (all this with 2 hurrican's) Really pleased... John

Bought four varieties of bamboo and had a great experience at the farm. Mark is very knowledgeable and spent a lot of time answering our many questions. The bamboo on property, all of which Mark planted, is gorgeous. Hoping our growing experience is as great as the buying experience!
