Right from the beginning Shane provided expert consultation, suggestions and information about plants and design. Most impressive was that Shane listened. His ability to hear what I wanted and to use his expertise to create a plan that was both realistic and financially achievable was greatly appreciated. His crew worked efficiently and professionally to create the backyard we dreamed of. Arbor and Earth was involved in the process in all phases from planning, instillation and follow up. Shane came back to my yard several times even after the work was done to check on plants, watering schedules and to make sure I understood how to take care of the yard once finished. I can’t recommend him highly enough or express my gratitude strongly enough for the professional care and skills he used to create a wonderful yard for us to enjoy.

Shane listened to my input and intuitively captured how I envisioned my backyard. The 3D video that he provided me was spectacular and helped me cement my choices. And....he creatively made changes (without compromising my vision) to keep it within my budget.

Shane provided 2d plans of both finished installation and irrigation schematic. In addition, I received a complete plant list, watering schedules, pruning information and guidance for plant care.

I can honestly say, I have never received the level of service from any contractor as I received from Arbor and Earth/Shane Brock. With zero hesitation, I highly recommend him.

My wife and I have used Shane Brock’s company Arbor & Earth twice to prune trees at our Chico home. One of the trees is a 75 year old sycamore in our front yard. It is a beautiful tree that shades my house, and Shane gave it terrific treatment. First, Shane is the most knowledgeable arborist that I have ever meet. His tree trimming is intelligent and focused on the long term health of the tree. Second, Shane is reasonably priced. You get what you pay for, and his fees are fair and reasonable. Third, he is a small local enterprise. We support local business. Fourth, Shane and his family are super nice people. Makes us feel good to know that we are supporting a hard working guy that is taking care of his family. And fifth, Shane is a good communicator. Following a major construction project, I had a scar of gravel and rock on a hillside. I needed a landscaper that came with recommendations. I choose Shane Brock of Arbor and Earth.
I described the objectives... grading, irrigation, retaining wall, low maintenance, a rose garden, small patch of lawn, attract bee's and humming birds, water feature and huge beds for vegetables.
Shane quickly developed a fantastic plan and the cost was reasonable.
I appreciated that he e-mailed the details which allowed me time to visually understand the plot plan.
