I love going to this place! They have an amazing selection of plants, I never leave without one. The owner and his sons are very nice and helpful and always remember me when I come in :). The plants are reasonably priced, it’s the only place I will go!

Owner is extremely rude for no reason. FYI after having a terrible experience I found a much better spot just a few blocks north on Lincoln with a much better selection. Don’t waste your time here!

Best plant store in the area. Cactus and tree selection are really special. Purchased large plants to decorate my new loft in Santa Monica. Super happy. Jonathon is so nice and helpful. Recommend this place to anyone.

Venice Plants is fabulous place to pick up beautiful, healthy plants.

Dustin and his family have owned and operated at this location for 30+ years for a reason. Their selection of tropical and other house plants is robust, and their prices quite reasonable.

Staff have a no-nonsense approach that may initially come across as a bit gruff, but don't let that deter you. Once you engage with them, you'll find they are incredibly knowledgeable and helpful. They also genuinely care about helping you find the right plant and how to keep the thing alive.

Most recently, I was in search of an elephant ear plant, but when I needed a different size that they didn't have in stock, Dustin procured it for me a few days later. He also gave me a great deal on it and a beautiful teal ceramic pot. Dustin’s son even repotted the elephant ear in a larger plastic pot that better fit in said ceramic pot—adding more soil and not charging for the extra service.

This place is a gem, and if you’ve read this far you could have already been there by now.

Unfortunately, I have to echo some of the reviews below. I found the service to be breathtakingly rude. Though they have a reasonable selection - in a jammed and very confined space - there are no prices (or other information) listed so one must chase down the owners to get the price/information for any single plant, and they act like they are doing you a massive favor. If you enjoy being abused as part of the customer experience then this is the place for you. Otherwise, there are many plant shops nearby with friendly and knowledgeable service.

I had a negative experience buying a cactus from Venice plants. The prices aren't marked on the plants. I was told one price and after they wrapped up the cactus and loaded it into the car they said they made a mistake and that it cost a hundred more than what they originally told me. It was just very unprofessional and a bad experience. I would not recommend doing business there.

This place is great! I’ve never had an air plant bloom before, but this one bloomed and has others on the way 🙂
