This is a friendly, lovely, locally owned nursery with lots of native California plants, seasonal vegetable starts, flowers, trees, and artfully designed and beautifully crafted pots, as well as a huge seed selection in their gift shop, ALL things that I do not see at the big box nurseries. Make it your first stop when you are planning your landscaping.

Of note, they have some very creative use of succulents and cactus mixed with other organic materials that are absolutely lovely, especially if you want to find an already-crafted succulent plant gift to someone special. I should have thought to take more pictures, but this little table really caught my attention, and only then that I saw the gift items noted above.

Though I did not purchase anything today, the woman at the cash register was extremely helpful and looked up information regarding a particular flowering cactus to help me troubleshoot the non-blooming cactus I have at home. She was really great, and I was fortunate that there were not other customers waiting in line and before or after me. They definitely deserve all five stars!

very darling nursery! a nice selection of happy plant friends varying from succulents to perrenials, with a lovely variety of California Natives. Lots of pots, soil, and charming planter decor. The employees were friendly and take great care of the plants here.

Magnolia nursery has a wonderful selection of well cared for plants and a welcoming and knowledgeable staff. Interwoven within tables of perennials and annuals are permanent plant displays. If you need fertilizer etc, they've got it. Pots? Oh yes! Can they special order a special plant? Yep!

We loved coming here for the first time! We just moved to Chico from Berkeley and it's better than the garden stores there. They are dog friendly, and have so many cool items!! They have a huge selection of plants and succulents. I bought these adorable mini ceramic pots that have legs for only $3 a piece!now What a steal! They also have a coffee bus where you can sit outside with coffee in their garden. A must-see if you love plants like me 🙂

Lots of unique plants that other nurseries in Chico don’t have. The staff is pretty knowledgeable and friendly. They do have a rewards program which offers discounts. On the weekends the parking can be a little tight but they do have more parking further in the back.

First time visit during the local nursery crawl. I really liked the mix of plants, pots, accessories. The place has a nice mix of Mediterranean and Australian plants along with more traditional evergreens and garden plants. There was a coffee truck onsite, lots of pots, very friendly and engaging staff. Reasonable prices, I never got sticker shock.
