When we moved into our new home, we were excited to dream about how to make our quant little backyard (which at the time was literally just dirt) into an oasis. Our new development has backyards that are small, as the homes are close together. We decided to work with Chris to make our dream come true. He and team were so great to work with to execute our landscape architects design.

For us, it wasn’t just about how it LOOKED but also how it FELT. We wanted our backyard to feel open, peaceful, and like a refuge. They and their team of contractors installed a 40’ concrete retaining wall, a deck, a patio with pavers, extended our driveway, installed irrigation & drainage, lighting, planted beautiful plants, and stained our fences, to just name a few projects. Additionally, we experienced a loss of a loved one and dreamed of having a waterfall as a way to constantly hear a reminder of their love for us. They were able to execute our vision perfectly, and built a modern concrete fountain for us from scratch. We also wanted to be able to entertain, and we have hosted 40+ folks back here! Chris has an eye for design and a deep understanding of how to make things work. We are so grateful for his support through this journey!

Chris and everyone on his team have been so kind, highly communicative, professional, timely, and generous. They have often gone above and beyond to take care of us when we have had questions with troubleshooting, when we asked to change something mid project, and even once dropped off a bouquet of flowers on a significant day to our family. What started as a simple house project felt like it became so much more — Chris and his team really take pride in what they do and care about making those they work with feel at ease and supported.

Chris and the team at Bertilacchi Landscape have been a blessing to my family for the past 4 years. We moved to our new house in SLO in 2020 to find a dry scape backyard that was so overgrown and inhospitable that my 3 young children were afraid to play outside. We met with Chris to discuss what we wanted in the backyard but we didn't really have a plan. Chris put together a design that addressed our feedback and also incorporated many elements of the existing landscape that were still usable, which helped save us money and also preserved some of the established plants. Chris is professional, friendly and responds quickly. His team installed artificial turf to add some softness to our hardscape patio. Our pups love it and it is sloped so my mother-in-law can roll her walker onto it and up to the patio. It looks awesome and the choice of turf looks natural. I had a great experience with Bertilacchi Landscape. In my interactions with the owner, Chris, I appreciated his clear and responsive communications, honesty, transparency and substantial knowledge of all things landscaping-related.

I did a project involving artificial turf, decorative rocks, transplanting some plants and mulch and he guided me through all the steps and showed me various options suited to my liking. He gave me the pros and cons of various materials and offered me fair pricing.
