One of the 5 laurels we ordered had a snapped top. After several email conversations to resolve the situation Plants Express seems unwilling to rectify this. Buyer beware, I guess. If you use this company be sure to inspect your items carefully before signing off on delivery!

I ordered (10) 5 gallon Kohuhu trees. They arrived 6 days after I had placed my order online. It was my first time ordering plants online overall, and I was initially unsure which site to trust. None of them were really household names to me. After reviewing various DIY sites and forums, what stood out for Plant Express was that in the cases where a customer was not satisfied and expressed it in a post, the owner and staff would respond, and the customer would edit the post to update about how they were satisfied with the outreach and remediation from Plant Express. I gave them a try, and was not disappointed. The plants arrived in great condition. It shows that the people looking after these plants cared for them. The delivery person was also cheerful and friendly. I would recommend Plant Express, and would use them again.

I am still in shock about how great of an experience I've had with them!! I mean I ordered online Sunday night, they had the best price for 5 gallon Cherry Laurels. Never ordered plants online so I was skeptical this would go smooth. I thought some would be in bad shape or the wrong ones delivered...but no!! They came on Wednesday, the driver even called me at work to confirm he was there and neatly set all 15 of them on my porch. They are all healthy and just what I wanted!! Very, Very, Very Pleased!!!

The plants themselves, they came in good condition and the delivery was smooth.

One thing the bothered me a bit but not a big deal was for the 24” box Italian cypress. They used a plastic container instead of the wooden one shown in the item picture. I was hoping to use the wooden box for something else. The customer service team said that the industry is moving to using plastic for environmental reasons but that doesn’t make sense to me. Plastic doesn’t degrade like wood does over time.

Fyi: The containers say 15 gallon but the volume of soil is actually closer to 10 gallons. I was confused by this when I first saw it. 15 gallon is for liquid and 10 is for soil matter.

This is our first time ordering from Plants Express and I must say what an amazing experience! We are in the middle of a DIY remodel for our back yard. I was able to order plants online and they arrived at our house a week later in perfect condition. We will be back for more once we can get around to planting our fruit tree orchard!

Good people, good plants! Receiving my tree this week was a special moment and my delivery person was so present (!), genuinely loving, in the warm handoff. It was the last delivery of his day and it felt to me like it could have been his first ever. To top it off, my tree is stunning. Larger than I paid for (thank you!) and it’s glowingly healthy. (Knock on wood!)
