We recently engaged a landscape designer to do a total transformation of our backyard. It was a dirt lot with sparse grass, and hardly a place we could enjoy as a family. Having finally saved enough for the project, our budget played a crucial role. We had several estimates, with the price and availability varying greatly. Kai and Lucas, a dynamic duo, were not only able to provide a cost-effective estimate within our budget, but they were also ready to begin immediately. Adding to the complexity, our backyard slopes in all directions, making it a challenging project that required significant earth-moving. But, the landscape design team was up to the job. They managed to level one side of the yard for an above-ground pool and a shed, and the other side for a concrete patio, with color stamp for a pergola to be set up later. They incorporated grass, irrigation, privacy shrubs, and even outdoor lighting with the remaining budget - it really made a difference. We are extremely pleased that they were able to bring our ideas to life. The communication was consistent from start to finish. We will definitely turn to them for similar needs in the future.

We met with multiple landscape design firms before deciding on our artificial turf project. This particular company stood out with their superior quality turf products. As soon as we were shown the Shaw grass samples, all other samples paled in comparison, seeming almost toy-like. Our interaction with Clarence was exceedingly positive. He was the most responsive landscape designer we came across. From the outset, we found Clarence trustworthy as he not only promoted his own products but also took the time to educate us on the entire category of artificial turf products. He guided us on how to choose the most appropriate turf, the differences between various products, and what questions to ask prospective landscape design contractors. Our project also necessitated the construction of a retaining wall to level the yard's slope. Here, Clarence managed to involve his landscaping partner promptly to devise a solution that didn't need an Oak Park city permit. Thus, it was an easy choice for us to select Clarence for our project. Our backyard spans approximately 1800 sqft and is situated downhill from the house. On the first day of the project, we encountered unexpected access issues. However, Clarence managed to find alternative solutions within a matter of hours to ensure the project's timeline was maintained. His team, including Kai and Lucas, skillfully moved all base materials manually, navigating a steep slope and numerous steps to get them where they needed to be. Despite these challenges, the project was completed a day earlier than promised. Now, we take pleasure in our stunning turf every day. It truly looks spectacular!
