Drymons citrus is no longer selling citrus. MAHM NURSERY is the now open tropical nursery on the property. The signs are still up due to the fact the Drymons citrus and pioneer green are still in buisness doing contract grows of plants other than citrus. MAHM NURSERY is open 7am to 4pm monday -friday. We are NOT open on Saturday or sunday.

BC is a very knowledgeable individual and a real character, too rare in Sarasota these days. His ways of doing business, a smile and a handshake, are remnants of a time gone by. I have bought a number of plants from him, most recently a gumbo limbo tree and some areca palms, all delivered to my house up the road from his nursery. In every purchase he has been fair and at times generous. We need to support our local growers and these nurseries. Don't let old Florida go quietly.

I have been to this Nursery several times and I am very disappointed with the attitude of the owner and the authenticity of their plants.

First, I bought a navel orange tree from here about 3 years ago and it is finally bearing fruit.  It's on its second season bearing fruit and all oranges so far have four to six seeds in them and they do not taste like a navel orange, nor do they resemble one in size. The fruits on my tree have seeds and are larger than normal navals, are not as sweet, and the naval at the bottom of the orange makes me think it isnt a naval orange. The tree itself looks very beautiful and healthy. No bugs or disease. I spent almost 200 dollars buying this tree and it was not what was advertised. I have not complained to them about this as I did not save the receipt from years ago and I don't like making fusses.

But today, I returned again to be royaly pissed off by the owner. As we pull up and are stepping out of our vehicle the female owner comes barging to us and exclaims with a lousy and belittling tone that they are not open (to basically look around and come to the same deduction, even though there was an employee on the field). The sign at the entrance of their pay house says they open on 8 am on Saturdays. I tried pointing it out but she picks up a call and signalled us to leave. Now, I am not one to normally get upset at retail people as I now they can have a hard time dealing with difficult customer, and I dont like to be a difficult customer, but this lady was outright rude and out of line. I don't care that she is the owner, she should still treat others with repect. So we left and don't plan on ever going back.

Hello everyone, I had quiet experience with BC Drymon and I like to share it with you.
I did visit the nursery located on N. Lockwood Ridge Rd in Sarasota few times about 2 years ago, I was looking for an Orange & a Mango trees for my yard.
After few trips to that location and meeting with BC he convinced me that he is got what I was looking for exactly.
I did buy 2 fruit trees from him and he delivered the 25 gallon Mango tree to my home.
3 month later my Mango tree died and I had to buy another tree from Farm and Garden on Beneva Rd.
2 years later and after my Orange tree that I bought from DRYMON'S CITRUS NURSERY Made it's first fruit that when I found out the big surprise!!
My Orange tree is not an Orange tree but it's some kind of lemon tree.

Since I already have a Pink Lemon tree and another Lime tree in my yard and already getting fruits from both trees I decided to go back and let Drynon know and see if he will swap my whatever tree he sold me 2 years ago with an Orange tree SAME SIZE.

Drymond refused that option and he GRABBED a 3 gallons Orange tree to give me, and replied that's all I'm getting from him.

I gave BC his 3 gallons orange tree back and told him I really don't need his tree and left the nursery.
JUST DON"T WANNA WAIT ANOTHER 2 YEARS TO FIND OUT WHAT KIND OF TREE HE IS GIVING ME THIS TIME!

I was looking to fill an orchard, but after over hearing that a person was sold a tree that turned out to not be what the customer had been told I WILL NOT be back and urge all wholesale buyers, businesses, etc to not buy from a person that doesn't know what they are selling nor cares enough that their word and business suffers when the customers are made to suffer.
