I’ll start by admitting that my wife & I rarely leave reviews for services we contract, as truthfully, the service industry in S FL is mediocre at best. Within the past few years we’ve hired a multitude of contractors from large companies to independent contractors and our experiences have been consistently average, providing a just-satisfactory end result, but many headaches/arguments/let-downs throughout each process.
Now on to Tropical Elements Landscapes…
From the beginning, we had our expectations set fairly low, and to our surprise, our first two meetings left us with a “good feeling” about the investment we were about to commit. Bilal was very courteous, respectful & professional during our “planning stage” as we poured on our concepts of “…We’d like it to be like that” and “…We want it to look more like this…”
Next, our major Backyard Remodel project concept was finalized, and we took the plunge to sign & submit our deposit. Bilal quickly introduced us to his team, including his brother (Firas) and 3 of his project supervisors – certainly a different experience than we’d ever had. Throughout the few weeks of major construction, the workers were punctual, kind and very CLEAN (meticulously cleaning tools, equipment and general clutter each day). Again, we were happily surprised as we felt like we lucked out with their A-Team. I later learned that this is THEIR team, and not groups of subcontractors (which I believe makes a big difference with bigger projects).
Our project posed some construction challenges (at no fault of the team) and we were grateful to have this team help us navigate through them. As with any renovation project, the final details are what matters most, and Bilal preferred to HOLD on collecting final payment before our walkthrough/checklist was complete and to our utmost satisfaction (again, very uncustomary for service-based businesses in S FL).
