On January 4th, 2025, at 8:17 A.M. I called Hall Nursery, located at 5645 Blanding Blvd. I was transferred to hardware, and a person identified himself as buddy answered the phone. Buddy checked the store's stock for the two different tarp sizes I requested. Buddy advised that the first tarp size I requested was available, but Buddy had the wrong measurements for the second tarp. Buddy then stated that he was NOT going back there again to check for the second tarp. I asked to speak with a manager. Michelle answered the phone, and I advised her of buddy's rude comment, but Michelle never apologized for buddy's rude comment, and I did not visit the store.
Very Poor Customer Service
The owner's reply is poorly written. Customers are the reason you are still in business. An apology for buddy's unprofessional attitude is what a professional businessman does and ensures buddy is reprimanded for his unprofessional behavior. This is why companies like Home Depot and Lowes are putting small businesses out of business. I will spend my money with companies that treat customers with respect. I always have a nice day. Enough said.

Love to come here for all my gardening needs!! They always have the greatest plants selection, plus the staff is always friendly and welcoming and if you have any questions (about plants, soil, pest control) they always have an answer for you.

I recently visited my local Ace Hardware/Halls Nursery and was impressed with their competitive prices! They offer great value for the quality of products they sell. However, I felt that their selection of plants could be improved. As a plant enthusiast, I was hoping to find a wider variety of options, particularly popular houseplants like pothos, spider plants, and more.

While they do have a solid foundation of basic plants and gardening supplies, expanding their plant selection would make them a one-stop-shop for customers like me. Nevertheless, I appreciate their affordable prices and friendly staff. With a more diverse range of plants, I'd gladly give them a full 5 stars!

As a carpenter I love hardware stores in general. Although Ace's aren't old-fashioned they are very well stocked. Way good service but not over bearing like places can be. Very clean but exit layout not bad but kind of funky. I'll include some knife pics I took. Very nice and new brand to me. I will be returning for the double cutter (scissors & knife combo) hopefully next week. Great store.

The selection here is fairly good and the customer service is amazing. We never have a problem when we go here! The plant selection is massive! Also they have a section of local business products! I love going to this location!

Don't have names but the young man on floor did great job guiding me to items I needed, and the girl at register was very friendly and was dealing in a positive way even though power had been down due to accident on road. She handled well and got system up asap , not the way you want to start a day but dealt with it

Extremely annoying experience with attempting to get keys cut. All I wanted was to have my trucks replacment keys cut, that I had already purchased. I didnt even need any programming done on them, all I wanted was the physical part of the key cut, and I would be on my way.

Despite them having a machine that would easily and quickly be able to cut the keys I provided, which were identical to the OEM design, they told me that I had to purchase a key from them anyway. When I asked why?, I was told "thats just store policy" followed by a judgment of my character "because you will BLAME US if your key doesnt work!"

They could have just warned me that they wont approve of any refund or replacement if the keys I brought to them didnt work out....perhaps treat me like an adult, instead of a child. The kicker was, I inquired about the cost of their replacment key and they didnt even have one available! They couldn't even consider an exception due to them be out of stock on the key that I needed.

A true shame that a store thats all about "doing it yourself" severely misses the mark when it comes to this one simple area, and I highly suggest this store reconsider its policy when it comes to key cutting and start treating its customers as people who can take responsibility for their own decisions. Luckily, a locksmith here in jacksonville was able to take care of me no questions asked. They even cut my keys for free when I shared the experience I had prior to arriving to them and the whole process took less than 10 minutes from start to finish. Now THATS how you show that you care about customers.

The owner response to this review is a poor one. No apology for the inconvenience, no understanding of my frustration of them not even having the key in stock that i needed while refusing to cut the keys I had that would have worked. Just "we do this hundreds of times a week"....well maybe start doing it better. Ill be taking all my buisness elsewhere from now on.
