Working with Marc and From The Ground Up Landscaping was one of the best decision we went with. We had a very large and dated driveway that needed a complete makeover. We ran into a few speed bumps along the way which end up being longer than we intended. But I have to say I’m glad I was working with Marc through it. From the initial quote to the final moment, Marc's energy and enthusiasm were wonderful. He always would inform me of any changes and makes suggestions that are cost effective as well as being long lasting. One thing I would caution is that you have to be patient, Marc (at least when I was working with him) didn’t have a lot of staff working with him. But he was very hardworking and will make sure to get things done properly without cutting corners. Therefore the project may end up taking a little longer. But it is worth it. Would definitely work with him again.

Let me start by saying that artificial turf has been a dream of ours for the past several years. Marc and the team at From The Ground Up Landscaping, Inc. made that dream a reality. With any project, I like to talk to several companies, and get multiple quotes. I knew from the moment I spoke with Marc on the phone that he was the person that I wanted to do the work. Marc answered a lot of my preliminary questions over the phone and arranged for an in person meeting to get measurements, etc. Marc was early for our meeting which is something I definitely appreciate. He took the time to walk around my property, take accurate measurements and explain pretty much every detail about how the work would be done. He also brought samples of turf for us to look at and also shared some of his personal recommendations.
I will be honest, Marc's quote was not the cheapest quote that we received, but it also was not the most expensive. Just talking with him, getting an explanation for how things would be done and him showing me his vision for our backyard was enough to sell me.
Our backyard is somewhere in the neighborhood of 3000 square feet. Marc and team completed the work in approximately 4-5 days. Weather proved to be a challenge, which is obviously out of everyone's control, so that stretched the project out over the course of two weeks, but again, it wasn't an issue for us. The team treated both myself and my wife incredibly well. They also took the time to discuss things with us on the very first day to make sure we were on the same page, walked us around at the end of every single day to show us the progress being made, let us know what to expect the next day, and always cleaned up after themselves. We never felt as though we were "in the dark" on anything that was going on with the project.
Pictures and words do not sum up how we feel about the project. Total night and day transformation. We use the turf as much as we possibly can, several times per week. I personally am out on the putting green at least 4-5 days per week weather permitting. Marc didn't just do the work, get paid, and move on. He reached out a week or two after the completion of the project to see how things were going, and again reached out approximately six months later to see if things were still going well. This is something almost unheard of in today's world. I cannot thank Marc and the rest of the team at From The Ground Up Landscaping, Inc. enough for making me love our backyard again, and maybe shaving a few strokes off my scorecard!
Our only regret is not doing this sooner!

We decided to go with turf due to our dog’s severe grass allergy. I’m SO glad we did! We’ve spent more time in the backyard over the last two days than the last two years combined. No allergies, no ant bites, no muddy feet or paws, no uneven areas or holes from armadillos digging everything up - just pure fun!
Marc was so great throughout the entire process - he spent so much time walking me through options, how they install, how to take care of it, and on landscaping plant suggestions! We love it and can’t wait to see the full-final result after we finish the landscaping up!
