This is a very nice and well stocked nursery located on the south end of College ave. in Fort Collins. They have a wide variety of perennials, shrubs, evergreens, and shade/decorative trees. They also have a good variety of fruit trees along with grapes, raspberry bushes, currents, and gooseberries that are much healthier and robust vs. the ones you get on line, but still in the same price range. What sets them apart for me is of the times we've been there, all staff has been very knowledgeable, helpful, and pleasant to deal with. They are very customer service focused, readily available and always willing to answer questions and share horticulture knowledge. As a bonus, they have all kinds of printed info regarding trees, shrubs, and perennials that grow well here, along with all kinds of other helpful info. Definitely a solid place with competitive prices to get your landscaping plants from. I recommend them.

We've been there multiple times since this review. And it continues to have a really good selection, good pricing for quality plants, shrubs and trees and always helpful staff. They answer questions and provide solid information and guidance along with recommendations based on their experience. We continue to highly recommend them for your planting and landscaping needs.

This place is incredible! I went to buy a tree to replace our dead one. Immediately upon arriving I was greeted by a lovely man who drove me to the tree I wanted, brought it to my car, loaded it, and gave me very clear verbal and written instructions on how to plant and take care of it. I went from being very unsure about what to do to feeling confident and supported. It was so incredibly helpful and a wonderful experience! I have also been to a class at the nursery which was extremely fun and informative. I love this nursery and will use it for all our garden and landscaping needs.

Dan Hartwig, a certified nursery professional at Fossil Creek, knows more about growing trees, shrubs and flowers in Colorado than anyone I’ve ever met. He steered us through the selection of all the flora for our entire yard. His guidance on which ones could tolerate our soil, temperatures, winds, etc., was invaluable. We would definitely use Fossil Creek again, based on our experience with Dan.

I know absolutely NOTHING about plants, and when I went there the other day, Dan, a gentleman that works there helped me with everything. He is incredibly respectful, knowledgeable, patient, and helped find plants that I liked and that would look best in my yard.

Also, he respected the budget that I had and stuck to it! I highly recommend asking for him. This nursery is GREAT! I will always go here!
