We hired Highlands Landscaping to replace an aging retaining wall and completely re-landscaped our front and side yard to reduce our overall water use and maintenance. They did an excellent job and we are elated with the results. The construction of the new block retaining wall was a massive and complex project as we live on the side of Green Mountain. We did not come to them with a specific plan in mind. However, they had the vision, knowledge and craftsmanship to create a terrace design that was not only elaborate and beautiful but incredibly functional. It is a work in progress as we elected to do this project in the fall, Highland will wait for spring to install the plants and shrubs which will really bring our yard to life. More pictures to follow in the spring. Their crew was so eager to please and took great pride in their workmanship. From the beginning, the team listened to our goals and desires and provided us with a very detailed estimate at the outset. The project evolved over time as we refined the design together. Throughout the entire project, they were very communicative and transparent with adjustments to the budget.

We recently used Highlands Landscaping to replace and install new fencing (two different types, one in back and one in front), and they did a fabulous job. Everyone at Highlands was responsive and easy to work with. The project manager, Nikola, has a very careful attention to detail and communicated well with us through every step of the process and every decision we needed to make. Our initial estimator, Desmond, also gave us excellent suggestions for how to achieve the look we wanted. They built the gates exactly as I had envisioned them and did a great job dealing with some uneven ground we needed to work around. We are extremely pleased with our new fences and wouldn't hesitate to use Highlands again.

In particular, our Project Manager Salvador was super responsible and responsive, always available to answer our questions, address any concerns, and make sure we were 100% satisfied. Alisa in the office was also great. Overall, the whole team was extremely professional and personable, and the bid was very competitive. I highly recommend them!

We had a great experience with Highlands Landscaping. We hired their team to redo our small backyard landscaping, including removing a non-working tank pool and installing custom flower beds. The work looks terrific (will post better photos once we have things planted in spring and our deck finished – the photo shows where the tank pool was). Salvador and his team were friendly, professional, and efficient – Salvador clearly wanted the job done well and wanted to make sure we were happy with the work. Would definitely recommend.

We are so so happy with Highlands Landscaping! From start to finish they were attentive, kind, and very helpful in figuring out what would work best for our space. They even got us in a little earlier than expected which was great. We worked with John on getting the drawings and materials figured out, and Salvador was our project manager once the work began. Salvador was fantastic at leading our project - they completed it on schedule and his team was very respectful of our space. We recently moved into a new-build that came with little to no landscaping in the back. They added a paver patio & walkway, steps leading from our main patio, a trellis for privacy, and artificial turf. Our yard was on a bit of a hill so a lot of grading was needed. The end result turned out better than I could have imagined! Will definitely be recommending Highlands Landscaping to all our neighbors and friends. Thank you again 🙂
